Oh yes. Where could they put a tuner in this TV?
I'll edit the post so there's no ambiguity. It's also £783 at Dixons. Amazing price.

Awesome price.
May well be screen only, but most people nowadays have either Sky/Virgin/freeview box so shouldn't be a problem.
Good findJust started comping - 1/12/08 - keep your fingers crossed!0 -
But is there any stock?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Just phoned my local store and they have one display model left and wouldn't budge on price, LOL. Then he checked on the system and apparently there are LOADS in the warehouse. A bit of background on this - they don't include the media box which, apparently, the Amazon and Dixons versions do. RS were originally going to get them with the media box and the deal went sort of 'hideously wrong' (his words), lol, so they just want to get rid of them 'because they have no inputs, really'. Hmmm...
Seems like lack of connectivity is the main bugbear:Overall, I'd rate picture quality as spectacular, and if it was only the width that's been slimmed down, rather than connectivity and content delivery, it would be a shoo-in for 32in of the year so far. As it is, this super-thin beauty is for the super-trendy only. But we're liking the new shape of LCD quite a lot

I still don't get why the lack of tuner is really that big a deal!!
As I said before, the majority of people these days have some form of digital receiver - be it sky or freeview etc. As I understand it, these will enable the TV to work regardless of whether they have a tuner or not - right??Just started comping - 1/12/08 - keep your fingers crossed!0 -

I completely agree, although RS are of the opinion it's the lack of inputs that's the major sticking point. I'm still thinking of purchasing, TBH.Call me Carmine....

It is not just a lack of tv tuner, the screen only has 1 HDMI input and 1 D-Sub input, NO scart - so unless you have Sky HD, Virgin + or a freeview box / dvd player with an HDMI output then you are stuck, again if you wish to connect two or three devices to this unit, then you will have to buy a HDMI switching unit.0
