After my experience with E7even I would never pay for 1 year upfront again no matter how cheap it is.

Can you get Telewest or NTL? Their services are uncapped & for my friends who have broadband with them they are very happy with it.

Other than that then I would suggest using adslguide to find some ISPs in your price range then use their "compare" webpage to list the average user speeds that people get:

ukonline are terrible, I am stuck with them throttling my main ports for another 10 months.

If anyone knows how to get out of their contract, let me know.

I know it's a contract but I had no idea they would throttle my 2MB connection down to 300kbps - I may aswell get 512 connection.

How do you know they are throttling your ports, I dont seem to have a problem with them on port 4662-4672, only ebay was playing up.

because they say in their little FAQ's after you sign up, not very clear before sign up

they also disallow webservers, so pretty useless if you want to have a website that actually does anything from your pc.
