NPower Annual Assment Bill

LOL! Add Geography to my list of rubbish subjects. Got the PM and I'll have a look-see. The fixed deal you are on looks pretty good but please be aware they will very probably put you on their AWFUL standard tariff when it expires in a few days if you just let it ride. And that would be a BIG financial mistake. I really don't know how they get away with chraging that much for leccy! Time to be pro-active, I guess, and get switching!
Edit: Yes, £477 saving with EDf showing on energyhelpline compared to npower's standard tariff. a THIRTY FOUR PERCENT DIFFERENCE. Disgusting, TBH. Get switching!! Or even apply to go on npower's online tariff (£443 saving). HTH!Call me Carmine....

You've been a great help, and yes, I'm going to get switching, why didn't we do it before now?
OK, if I call npower, do you think they'll transfer me to there online tariff?
One other question please, we have an O/S balance of around £142.00, does that have to be paid to npower, BEFORE we switch?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Good question, it all depends. If it's an 'established' O/S balance, i.e. been there a few months they probably will insist on it being paid firstly. In my case, on a switch if I've ever had an O/S balance its' always been on the last bill (and, incidentally, that's also been the first bill as I switch every 3 months, lol). Only problem with going onto npower's online tariff is a lot of the savings are based on an annual discount so you have to be with them 12 months to benefit. If you can afford it, personally I would pay off the balance and scarper to EDF. HTH.Call me Carmine....

We've been with them in this property 6 years, but overall around 20 years.
Aahh, no, what I meant was the £443 saving quoted compared to the standard rate includes approx £120 credit which you only get after you've been on that particular tariff for 12 months. It doesn't appear that EDf have any sort of similar hidden surprises on their tariff. Just something to have in mind before you make your decision...Call me Carmine....

Opps
I called npower, the O/S balance has to be paid on the final bill, however, he said he'll speak to his manager and see if we can go online 14 tariff.
Good stuff. :money: A warning: don't accept a no! They will be 'trying it on', so be prepared to tell them you are switching to EDF. That should do the trick.Call me Carmine....

Start reading your meters and keep records - you'll know how much your DD needs to be. Do you know how many kwh you've used over this winter?0
