greenbee, soappie, froddy - I'm difficult to please too...took me rather a long time to find DH (I bought him on the internet in the end :rotfl:!

Really??!!! Can you get them made to order then :D If that's the case then I want to know where... I can just put my requirements in and send off the cheque. I presume he came with a money-back guarantee too ;)

I'm just trying to work out how to extricate myself - it just seems to be a bit blunt to turn round in an email and say stop messing about (besides which, the information doesn't matter), but I do need to deal with it carefully as the working relationship is an important one.

Anyway, it's good to know I'm not alone!

Jo - I've been single for 15 months now, so its definitely time I got out there and tested the water again... but as I don't really go anywhere other than work :o, it's not easy  . I like to get to know people before I date them, and I'm hopeless at reading the signals ... so I suppose if someone is up front it helps, but is also a little scary! And there's the fact that we have the same boss... it's a little close to home...

Quillion... quick recap - a colleague sent me an email on Friday saying he had the information I needed (not particularly important) but would only tell me if I went for a drink with him. So having agonised (with the help of everyone here on Friday/Saturday) over the reply I asked whether he was holding the information to ransom, locking it in a cellar and feeding it on bread and water, to which he responded 'Yes...' and now I'm trying to work out how to resolve the situation. As of 10am tomorrow I can't pretend I haven't seen the latest email, and I really don't want a problem at work!

    I'm in I'm in

    Welcome newbies :D

My diary looks gastly this week, starting with tomorrow parent consultation AM, hydro PM, support group event on evening, pah!! I think I'll catch my tail as I go round this week. Anyway will try my best. I spent bath time dragging every storage out in the bathroom and binned a sack full (well recycling to sort out of it) of empties, past use bys (well been open several years and gone gakky) stuff :D managed to get rid of one of the baskets and realised just how much toiletries stuff we still have left!!!

Anyway, bed time soon, DP dropped it into a conversation earlier (when he mentioned our 'next' caravan and I said 'no point planning a next as if we don't use this one enough I'll not be buying one) that he's in the process of sorting cover at the club for the summer hols :D might speak to him a bit more tomorrow if he's starting to realise where his priorities should be.
One day I might be more organised...........

Do you really need him for the information can you not get it elsewhere?

Don't need the info at all really... DO need to continue working with him both short term (management meeting on Wednesday morning, so me, him and 4 other blokes including our boss) and long term (in a company as big this, even when you move on you quite often end up working with the same people again in different roles).
