Greenbee - you sound SOOOooooo like me!
I'm one scary person in professional situations so I've been told. In fact, one place I worked at I was ~um~ surprised/shocked/staggered to find that when new blokes started, they were give the tour of the office along the lines of
"There's the loo, there's the coffee machine, the restaurant's over there and oh - that's Soappie - you don't f*ck with her"
But, underneath, I'm just as vulnerable as everyone else. And scared.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
... which is why they're either too scared to ask me out, as they think I'm going to be like that ALL the time (face it, how could I be, it's exhausting... I don't even voice an opinion at the hairdresser, just leave it up to her to decide what she wants to to!) and men seem to find successful women intimidating, or they're expecting me to be in control and confident if they date me, and I'm just as neurotic and f*cked up as the next woman, which is what they're hoping not to have to deal with! And the end of the day, I'd quite like someone to look after me occasionally and not have to do it all myself, but I definitely don't want to find I'm babysitting some useless g*t who can't get his act together...
... not that I'm hard to please0 -
soappie / greenbee - another the same here! Can deal with major challenging behaviour, manage staff, pupils and parents at school but then hide away at home at other times
Can't see how I'll meet anyone
Anyway, off to bed now. Night all, sleep well x"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Off to beddy bies - just got hooked on a new jigsaw site - jigzone so there went my early night! Oh well, lunchbox has been packed just in case and phone is on charge. Will just need to eat breakfast and get dressed and then I'm ready to go.
See you all tomorrow if I'm not working.
Night night,

PS greenbee I hope your man worries are sorted out soon - after nearly 7 years living with OH I've got to grips with him to a certain extent, but still can't profess to know what goes on in his head sometimes. lolEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

lol - you both sound like me: strong professional woman, shambles for a love life!!!:rotfl:
I wouldnt acknowledge the comment and just ask for the information..... again. If he brings it up again, just say youd rather not bring your personal life to your workplace. If he really likes you and doesnt just see you as a challenge or a conquest, he will go out of his way to prove it would be worth your while. But you havent really been pining after this guy, so my advise would be not to go there. It may be time to start seeing other people, but dont do it at work. xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Pigpen stop procrastinating and go to the doctors, throw whatever you like, I'll not shurrup about it,:p you wouldn't if it were me!! *awaits excuse, insult, thrown mule*Pigpen - just go to the doctors, otherwise we'll have Triker shouting at you all week ... and probably a few others. Remember how we nagged you about the smoke alarm batteries? And what a good thing it was that we did...
Actually in view of the fact I am not effecively ill I can go in my own leisurely 'when I get my rear in gear' time.. I am going purely for selfish, vain reasons and I will go when I am ready.. That was the polite way of saying.. to everyone.. thank you for your concern but do not nag me. I do appreciate your concern.. I do.. really ..
as for the smoke alarms .. the one that actually worked was the one which was taken down when the wall was removed and it didn't go off until the fire had been dealt with so for all use that it was.. I'd actually not bother having one on the landing ever again TBH.. You need one on the room adjoining the kitchen and in the rooms with high sleeper beds in.. the rest appear to be a waste of time. We appear to have some kind of weird draught thing goin gon which sucked the air and smoke in the opposite direction to the smoke alarm we thought worked.. possibly DD1's bedroom window which was open... dunno but either way if I don't get a grip my children might never have another homecooked cake as long as they live here!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Does anyone on here understand men?
In fact, are either of the blokes about to help out with this one?!
I'm worried that if I go with Toots' reply of 'can it survive another 36 days as I'm off drink for Lent' he'll take that as flirtation... in fact I can't think of anything I can say apart from 'no' that won't be seen as encouragement!... but I'm still not quite sure that I'm interpreting things rightI mean, it could be work related (but then surely it would be catching up over a coffee at work?)
Hi i missed your first post about this can you start again so i can help xx:beer: Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
