Jo, i'm in Edinburgh (says so under my name:D )
Greenbee - we have drained it, and hubby has taken the bottom off and he says its the pump. Its about 6 years old and gets used a lot!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hey GnB, where are you? Are you close to Toots? x
Jo - there's a link to the flylady map (which Flower looks after...) on the yahoo site. There may well be one on facebook, but I'm not sure as I can't get on there (I use my work connection for internet access, and after the latest round of testing I can't get in!)0 -
I'm in this week - have been AWOL for a bit and it showsI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

Sorry to hear that Toots! Sunny Devon certainly lived up to its name this weekend:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0 -
i'm in again this week.
toots - i'm sure my dh would have loved a star if i'd managed to keep up with the thread, but really the whole family earns the stars when i get one because i share the jobs on the list out - i didn't create all the mess so i sure as h*ll am not clearing it all up:D
well i should (we should ) get a star tomorrow - i find the kitchen and bathroom the easiest days now the oven isn't a bottomless grease pit.
well going to have a hhk then off to bed - see you ladies and gents tomorrow - sleep well

Does anyone on here understand men?
In fact, are either of the blokes about to help out with this one?!
I'm worried that if I go with Toots' reply of 'can it survive another 36 days as I'm off drink for Lent' he'll take that as flirtation... in fact I can't think of anything I can say apart from 'no' that won't be seen as encouragement!... but I'm still not quite sure that I'm interpreting things rightI mean, it could be work related (but then surely it would be catching up over a coffee at work?)
Okay, I have spent a little time trying to catch up on all this and just have a couple of questions. Do you like him ? Are both of you unattached ? Could be a case of him finding it difficult as well and seeing it as a 'safe' way of asking you out for a drink. Have been married for a while and would have no confidence in myself if starting from scratch again. Is he in that situation ?
Why don't you see if you can arrange the drink at a lunchtime and with some other people as well. You could say thanks for the info and agree to go for a drink as a group to celebrate the end of the week/ the completion of a joint target. Then see if he keeps looking at you, if he does he may want to go further and then you can decide what to do. Of course if you really aren't interested then go with the imaginary boyfriend/ partner needing you back early so you can have one drink but then need to go. Hope this helps. x

Sounds like a challenge although I am married I'm afraid
Just thought of another option Greenbee- you could take him a Mcdonalds milkshake (small) into work tomorrow but go with the imaginary boyfriend. Could also say to him you had had a bad experience of dating people in a work situation and promised yourself never to again. That way he won't feel it was aimed at him. :beer:Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0
