Sounds like a dream to me :) :rotfl:

Thanks for the pic pottersfolly :) I've got the same or similar, and it always looks really nice. A 'mare to get off without the right remover though ;)

I got the Sally Hansen Strengthening Polish Remover when it was on offer recently and it's brilliant takes off even the brightest or darkest shades easily. hth

Just opened my No.7 compact mirror and am very impressed with it (well for 87p!) It has a 2x magnifying side as well. But why does it have to be black Mr B? Put that into my handbag and it will never see the light of day again. The R+M bright red mirror from before xmas (;)) is much easier to see if your eye sight is going, like mine must be....

The Bond Street branch doesn't have SS tills on the Oxford Street side, but if you keep going to the back of the store - into the station - there are 5.
I didn't see these, and I was searching so hard!
I knew you would be the right person to answer questions about London SS tills, :T

sorry to snip your post but what are the lunchbag coupons?

    TIA
    Hi asset2004

When I went to check the ACM for vouchers , I found I could print ONE coupon for the 99p little lunchbags to get one free. The coupon is dated for that day only - so make sure they have them in the shop before you print your coupon. hth

Just a very quick question... Can Boots points be used to buy things like sandwiches and drinks, or is it just toiletries?

Been to two different Boots stores today, not much to report! Did a quick trip to the Fort, but no more reductions than during the week. I picked up 3 Botanics which I knew had scanned through for next to nothing in the week & tried to hide this with buying some chocolate! Unfortunately, the SA spotted that they had actually all gone through for free, when the total was just 54p! In hindsight, I should've hidden them with something a bit more expensive but I'll know for next time. Anyway, the SA toddled off to speak with her manager & then had to void the transaction & put it through again, though it was only £2.10 but I still felt cheated!! There aren't ever any nice SA's in that store, they all have eyes like hawks!! I thought they might just let it go, but no such luck! A few weeks ago, I tried one of the L'Oreal (or was it Olay?) GWP purchases which had been going through for most people for free with the wipes & they wouldn't let me do that one, either, even though the till said "Yes"! Anyway, back on topic, if anyone spots Botanics on clearance at around the £1 mark, then grab them, as they are getting reductions ontop of the clearance price = free.

Then tried Boots on Regent Road - a few odds & ends on clearance, including some No 7 No Grains Exfoliation-stuff with a SEL of £4.** - I did think of trying this with a Perkie, as its not got a clearance label on, but the Compact didn't have a clearance label & that wouldn't go through with a Perkie on Thursday, so, as DH was with me & had been embarassed by shop 1, he objected to me trying!

Oh, actually did a 3rd shop, popped into Droylsden (tiny store) which had clearance shelves but I swear the prices weren't reduced & it was just a ploy to get people to buy - it all looked so expensive!

My hard earned cash is staying firmly in my purse, rather than lining Mr B's pockets. If he can't play fair then I can't justify spending it, its as simple as that. If we vote with our feet, then Mr B may eventually have to take notice. If not, I'll go back to buying at H0m£ Barga1n$, A$da & Sup£rdrug. Its not my loss, cos I'll still end up with bargains, maybe not as many GWP's (though Sup£rdrug have got some on Olay/Max Factor at mo) but, to be honest, I end up with them sat in a cupboard usually, anyway!

Oh, someone posted on here the other day about Slimfast 6-packs - they are an "online-only" product, the stores only sell them singly. Its definitely cheaper to bulk buy them online & get them delivered to home, as they seem to be permanently on 342, so 18 bottles come out at about £14.** & if you're in the Health Club & like the smoothies, you get them for half that price. Just wish they'd do the shakes on the same offer, as I'm addicted to the Heavenly Chocolate ones! I'm also hoping that the Chicken & Mushroom soups come back into stock soon, as I'm running out! I lost 5 stone using these in the last 8 months, got a bit more to go, but getting there!

    S xx

:hello:Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of bootsing!
Sedley Place has SS tills, nice big store with 3 floors. Turn left out of Oxford circus and head towards Marble Arch
The tills are bit hard to find, took me 2 visits to realise there is a downstairs! so they are in the basement right at the back near the other tills, only 3 of them but when I went the SA didn't interfer too much! There is another smaller boots a bit further on at bond street, no SS tills.
Haven't been for a few weeks, so don't know what their stock is like. hth

There are four SS tills at Sedley, and Bond St has SS tills also - up the steps at the back of the store, four tills from memory.

Sedley had Vichy, La Roche-Posay, new Olay GWPs last time I was instore.

Full list of SS tills in Post 1.

Thanks for the quick reply jimsmum. I'm just about to head to the mall and I've got quite a lot of points that I've had for a while and fancy spending but don't need toiletries.

I can now picture a basket of Saturday night eatables :D

If I see a pint of milk reduced, a sandwich reduced and some fruit reduced, and got the lot, would it be classed as a meal deal? If so, it would have been wicked. Milk was 30p, Sandwich was 75p and Fruit was 35p, so the total would have been £1.50ish. Was going to give it a go, but decided to get it with my points. Saturday afternoons are always great for reduced items. Shame they don't do cheese and onion sandwiches at my local, cos if they had been reduced I would have got the whole lot.

Thanks to everyone that recommended the Boots Expert Lip Balm thing. I got some today, and it is great. Does not shine or glisten. Plus it it's nice and smooth. It would be great if they did it in a mint or strawberry flavour. I would definitely recommend it.

And thanks for the tips re: Clinique concealer. Will try and take it back, but if that horrid SA is there I will probably wet myself cos she was proper mean! Oh err Missus!

Nooo don't go whats the right remover please, I have only got a cheap one from our beloved store :o can you tell me which is the best one :)

Sorry about that - I had to pop off :D The one I used for the really dark colours was a cheap one too - but from Superdr*g. As pollsdolls would say, Law of Sod is at work ;) because I lost it, (in the house :o lol) and have used the cheapish Boots own since. (It's still not that good on dark varnishes imo and uses far too many pads to remove it, and still manages to stain your fingers, but that might be because I used it wrong? So for now, I've been using lighter polishes.)

The Superdrug one was very similar to this one on eBay: See post: #2704 ;) (Thanks suzi :))

but had a different brand name. It lasted for years rather than months, and because it's sponge filled, the frugal side of me came out, and instead of discarding it when it was past its best, I just added a bit of ordinary remover to it :o;) Hope that long-winded reply helped :D

Edit: Oh my days lol - can someone shorten that link for me by quoting it with a linky please? Thanks :)
