It's good to laugh, even at ourselves ;) But more so at our OH's lol.

I think that day was the day OH had the bright idea of taking the TomTom for a 'stroll' :D because we kept getting lost in York (old age I think lol) but can you imagine what it's like typing "Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate" (which is where we wanted to be to get to Boots ;)) into a TomTom? :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't tell you how relieved I was when the batteries went flat :D

    I'm off again lol

personally i wouldnt call the woman greedy. that's a tad rude. there's nothing wrong with stocking up on stuff when you can get it cheap. i mean who would rather pay for it at full price?
it's a bit hypocritical for anyone on this board to call her greedy because lots of people have "stocked up" on items when they've found them cheap or reduced.

sorry, that was a bit of rant.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with stocking up, but there is a difference between stocking up and clearing the shelves of a complete range of reduced products, and ensuring that no other customers (who are obviously wanting to get them) manage to grab any.

I think the scenario being described was somebody who was grabbing at all reduced stuff in sight before any one else could, I think thats greedy, and I dont think there would be many people on this thread whho would do that.
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

I went to boots leeds today to look for a santropez kit for classychick06

Anyone know where they are cos i looked for.
them upstairs with the n07 pallates and also on the clearance ends but to no avail.

Are they downstairs some place? I only had a chance for a quick scout downstairs as i was only nipping in on my break from work.

If someone can give me better direction as to their location i will pop in on my break tomorow.

Also struggled to find the vichy gifts which someone said were near the skincare and clinique counter.

Could someone please pm me accurate directions as i only get half an hours break and i spent 10 mins of todays break queuing for my free starbucks so only left about 10mins for bootsing when you take into account escapin and returnin to work time.

    Thanks

Still trying to catch up but also wanted to say... feeling slightly envious of those of you who went on a group MSE bootsing expedition!!! I have to go it alone always as tbh NONE of my friends seem to get it & look at me a bit strange when/if I start to talk about it!! .

Its not just me then! I actually rang my sis to get her to check her local store for toothbrushes and toothpaste. She rung me back to tell me she had got me some from superdr*g :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Bless her, tried to explain that wasn't quite the point!

Hiya everyone, well I seem to be losing sleep over the fact that I don't own the No7 Artist Pallette thingy & the St Tropez Set!!!

Would really appreciate if anyone can let me know if they've seen them in any of the London stores (& which ones?) or any in the South - thinking I might pop out somewhere tomorrow as my hubby is off mountain biking for the day!

So could go to any of these stores if these items have been spotted there...
    Any London?
    Croydon
    Kingston
    Any Surrey ?

Also SandraScarlett just to say that in Epsom they tend to have the clearance stuff on the right hand side (once you've gone through the front of the store past the perfume/makeup section & they are on the end of the aisles - about 4 of them I think and opposite those on right against the wall. Ooh just to add this is if you enter the store from the shopping centre side not the street side! Also one of the No7 SA's (blonde) is really lovely. Haven't been there in a couple of weeks so not sure what they've got in clearance. HTH!

Shame I won't be around on Weds - would've loved to have met up and learn't all you know as you so are the Bootsing Queen/Guru!! Will be flying to Spain tho to visit my mum as a total surprise Mother's Day pressie - wait til she sees the 200ml bottle of No7 Protect & Perfect Serum & other goodies I've got her - she'll be overjoyed!! Not to mention the look on her face when I walk in!! I've told her she's not to go out cos she needs to wait in as I'm having her Mother's Day pressie delivered - my dad is then gonna pretend to go to the supermarket or something but really he'll be getting me from the airport & then in I'll walk!! Can't wait to see her face! :rotfl: :j :rotfl:

Anyways, I await responses to my emergency request for 'sightings' of the rare breed that is the Artist Pallette 'look like a clown' thingy & St Tropez 'look like you've been Tangoed' Set!!

Ooooh just had a thought - sorry if I should have posted this on the chat thread!! Oops - will post there as well walks away all dazed & confused scratching head...

Oh, actually did a 3rd shop, popped into Droylsden (tiny store) which had clearance shelves but I swear the prices weren't reduced & it was just a ploy to get people to buy - it all looked so expensive!

My hard earned cash is staying firmly in my purse, rather than lining Mr B's pockets. If he can't play fair then I can't justify spending it, its as simple as that. If we vote with our feet, then Mr B may eventually have to take notice. If not, I'll go back to buying at H0m£ Barga1n$, A$da & Sup£rdrug. Its not my loss, cos I'll still end up with bargains, maybe not as many GWP's (though Sup£rdrug have got some on Olay/Max Factor at mo) but, to be honest, I end up with them sat in a cupboard usually, anyway!

Oh, someone posted on here the other day about Slimfast 6-packs - they are an "online-only" product, the stores only sell them singly. Its definitely cheaper to bulk buy them online & get them delivered to home, as they seem to be permanently on 342, so 18 bottles come out at about £14.** & if you're in the Health Club & like the smoothies, you get them for half that price. Just wish they'd do the shakes on the same offer, as I'm addicted to the Heavenly Chocolate ones! I'm also hoping that the Chicken & Mushroom soups come back into stock soon, as I'm running out! I lost 5 stone using these in the last 8 months, got a bit more to go, but getting there!

    S xx
Thanks for your post! You're right: I never seem to buy anything from clearance anymore (apart from batteries) as it's always so expensive. Also, ever since Boots stopped the purplies being spent on reduced stuff I've saved a fortune by not spending anything in Boots.

Just wanted to ask though: do the Slimfast soups and shakes fill you up ? Did you find them easy to stick to ? And well done on your weight loss - that's amazing !!!!!!!!!
