Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 51 - Post your finds here

Popped into Chelmsford branch today. Did really well and bought essentials and lots of 55p sensodyne (sp?) toothpaste and children's toothbrushes for 42p. There were a few adult toothbrushes for 50p ish but I have an electric one so didn't bother with those. I too got the No7 gloves and nail files with my perkies. I have one perkie left but I might save it for the new offers.

I'm going to make MIL a little Boots hamper for Mother's day. I'm sure there will be pics somewhere so I'm going to go in search but would you take the gloves out of the plastic box because it looks a bit cheap or would you leave them in it because it has the instructions on the back?

Sedley Place has SS tills, nice big store with 3 floors. Turn left out of Oxford circus and head towards Marble Arch
The tills are bit hard to find, took me 2 visits to realise there is a downstairs! so they are in the basement right at the back near the other tills, only [strike]3 [/strike]of them but when I went the SA didn't interfer too much! There is another smaller boots a bit further on at bond street, [strike]no SS tills[/strike].
Haven't been for a few weeks, so don't know what their stock is like. hth

EDIT: incase anyone is reading this far back! I stand corrected, Sedley Place has 4 ss tills, and Bond Street has 5, so I will be going back and paying more attention next time! :rotfl:

Kensington high street - big store: Reduced sels on toothbrushes...shelf was empty:rolleyes: they still have lots of the No7 pink jewellery box priced £3:D A few of the latest Olay GWP and the only gift sets from crimbo I could find are the box of delights (containing condoms etc...)reduced to £1.7x

I wombled a couple of perkies then popped down to the tiny store on high street kensington. Again, reduced sels on toothbrushes, but shelf empty:rolleyes: I did however find the following: listerine soft mint 250ml, reduced to 60p and steradent tablets, reduced to 25p. I got a couple for cleaning the loo:rotfl:

While on the subject of cleaning, asda has reduced their basic facial wipes to 10p. They are handy for cleaning the kitchen etc...I used to use time delay wipes for this purpose, but since Mr B is being a meany and not letting us use vouchers on these anymore I am going to use these sparingly:rotfl: (is there such a word as sparingly?)

Also in HSK (small store) dental floss reduced to 70 odd pence.

I think they have four SS tills at Selbey Place - there are 3 in a line, and one making an "L" shape, adjacent to the SA tills.

The Bond Street branch doesn't have SS tills on the Oxford Street side, but if you keep going to the back of the store - into the station - there are 5.

Then if you head to Oxford Circus, near M & S, you'll find Boots. Walk through and the SS tills are on the left hand side, adjacent to the food and next to the SA tills.

Nearest other ones apart from Liverpool Street are Canary Wharf. HTH

Had a quick recce in Arnison Centre Boots today and I came out with...... nothing :rotfl:

Every time I go in there I have to play Hunt The Clearance Stand as they keep moving it around, anyone still looking for it, it's currently opposite the hair electricals at the far end of the store. Nothing on it that I wanted, a few bashed lippys and some half price electric toothbrushes and shavers. There were some fleecy electric underblankets, singles for £10. I thought clearance items were usually 75% off but it seems to be 50% lately

I noticed a label on the No7 aisle end stand saying "packaging may vary", no doubt so they don't have to reduce anything in the old packaging :rolleyes:

I had more success in Poundland where I found lots of Bourjois items for DD. Mr B will probably have to send more stuff to Poundland unless he gives us a decent offer to keep his old stock moving :rotfl:

PS I saw the No7 SP compacts instore the other day with a SEL of £6.xx but it wasn't actually a reduced label IYSWIM, just a normal looking one. I think Mr B is on dodgy ground with that if he says we can't use perkies with reduced items.

Ooooooh, forgot to say.....

I was looking at the Boots Essential bathing stuff today, there was an empty space on the shelf with a handwritten label saying GWP. Could it be that there's going to be a new GWP I wonder?

I will be watching that space
