Darling hubby took us to F&Bs for dinner, so it would have been rude not to pop in for 5 mins
Shelves full of No7 Artist Complete Collection (£17.12) -they have 2 aisles set up for Mother day and they were on these ..
10 putting sets and no SA on the SS tills  (only took 1)
Clearance rubbish as always but did notice they had "stickered" a few things to be reduced but left them on their usual shelf (Mediterranean bits etc)-might be worth keeping an eye on-i think the fort thinks its too posh to have a clearance section :rotfl:
Havent read a single post on here today-so off to catch up!0 -
Had to cut the day short as Dee needed to be home reasonably early. We both bought a £1 Nailoid Total Duty Nail Care on Clearance for £1. Googled it, and apparently it's £4.75! :T
Trouble is, I was going to spend one of my Perkies on Strong Nail! We then each got a No 7 Younger Longer Time Resisting Hand Cream for £4. We were on the SS tills, and the Nailoid thingy wouldn't scan, so the SA did the ol' tiddly om pom pom, and then I innocently said "Oh, will I be able to use a £5 voucher on my No 7 cream please".
And she said "I don't see why not". Well, it wouldn't work, as it was Clearance, so she tiddly om pom pommed again, and it went through! She said "There you are my love, just £1 to pay for your nail stuff".:j
So quick as flash, we asked her to do Dee's one as well! We got a couple of the Olay GWPs black bags with the red flowers, I gave Dee 2 of my Perkies, and then I got two more Sumptuous Bath stuff, and she got 2 Body Washes.
Someone asked what the deal was with these. There isn't a deal, but they're £7.80 (except for London), less 10% leaves £7.02, less the Perkie, £2.02, and you can hand in a 250 points coupon with these. And I like the smell!!!!
There wasn't a Womble-able Perkie to be seen anywhere, the ACM only gave me one new voucher, and that was 500 points when you buy Givenchy Very Irresistible - which I use. But I can get it loads cheaper on EB*y - and I do!!!
We had our 2 for 1 Prezzos, and free Starbucks, and it didn't rain, so that was good, and I still have 7 Perkies! I'm sure they're breeding overnight in my brag book!
We're going to Epsom on Wednesday, which is the furthest south we can go on a train, for nothing. Anything I should look out for peeps please?
Also, I'm due for an eye test, and I reckon I'll need stronger reading glasses. I haven't been to Boots before for matters optical, and I should have had this done when there was the £20 discount. Does anyone know please what sort of p-rice new glasses start at? Would I need a mortgage?
Have a nice weekend all.

Sorry HB81,
Then got No7 Moisturising Gloves and tried going to a manned SA who would not let me use it with a PURPLE. The moose said it's less than £5 so you can't use it. I said where on the voucher does it say I can't? Anyway, she didn't budge, and would not let me use it. It does NOT say you can't use it on a full priced item less than £5. Think I will be calling CS! Anyway, went back down to SS, and tried it. Same SA (that saw me doing Extracts combo) saw me doing it and said, sure go for it. Got 2 x No7 Moisturising Gloves with 2 x PURPLES. Go me!
Hi Mimi, yet another case of the SA making up the rules. As you say, there is nothing on the voucher that says that. Are you reading Mr B. Please enlighten the SA, or this a way to increase revenue for Boots~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
I got a small booklet today giving £20 off glasses. I didn't check it out but if you want me to let me know and I'll check for T&Cs.0

Just a little rant at Boots for not making its prices and deals clear in stores.
I never cease to be amazed that Boots has all these sales, then doesn't make sure signs are up so that customers know about the sales! A man was browsing the Sanctuary items today (probably looking for a mother's day gift as he was leafing through the store booklet), and two SAs couldn't help him find what he wanted from the booklet. I wasn't sure what he wanted, but I pointed out to him that there were some items on a display at the end of the shelf that were not in the main section, and he found something he wanted there. Then I told him he could get the body butters set free if he spent 10 quid. He was pleased and grabbed one. The SAs hadn't told him this, and there were no signs saying that the body butters were a gwp! There was just a pricetag saying it was 9.79, so how would you know it's a freebie?! I hate to think how many people laid out good money for Sanctuary products and didn't get the gwp they were entitled to. Not to mention, how many decided not to buy anything, but would have if they'd known they could get a very nice free gift?
On top of that, none of the darling s&g cosmetics and washbags had signs saying they are 1/3 off. I ended up buying one of each of the pink ones with stars (paid with points), but how many people would've been tempted to buy if there had only been a sale sign posted? Really, really shoddy, and Boots must lose a lot of sales over such carelessness.
Fyi, these are the bags I got.
A good point skibster, I saw 2 people today buying Sanctuary without the GWP (and they both qualified) Some of the S&G had signs saying one third off but not on all the displays. It doesn't make sense. Btw those bags are lovely:T~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Here are the results of my group MSE shopping expedition today. I find it easier to take a photo to show what I bought.
5 x No 7 make up bags
1 x No 7 brush bag
3 x Paracetamol (to make the total up to £5)
5 x Extracts Body wash
5 x Tubes Aquafresh toothpaste
4 x Tubes Childrens tooth brushes
2 x Childrens toothpaste
2 x Botanics Facial Pamper sets.
1 x NC Neck cushion
2 x Med Body wash
Total price..... £78.77
Total spent.... £35.93
total saved.....£42.84
Pts earned......1430 ( from using ACM & mag vouchers for Extracts)
Saving include, instore price reductions, 10% HC discount and money saved from Perkies.
I went out with 8 perkies, earned and spent another 5, so came home still with 8 perkies.
:j :j :j :j :j :j :j
There are some samples in the photo, some of which were passed to me by some strange woman
Btw the brazil nut in the Extracts body wash smells divine. We had no luck at all using perkies on reduced items, very frustrating.
I don't need any more wipes and I thought the bags were more useful and great for gifts, or even for keeping make up in. They only cost me 2.04 after the 10% HC reduction, and they don't dry up like the wipes.
What fantastic shopping list!0 -
balletshoes wrote: »Hi everyone,
Still lots of S&g gift bags, L'Oreal white bags, La Roche-Posay, purple Olay gwps around. The Vichy ones are beginning to get a bit thin on the ground.
Out of that list the only ones I have ever found are the Purple gwp. No sign at all of La Roche-Posay or Vichy. I think they are an endangered species~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
