Just catching up with the thread, so sorry Mimi, I went to Leeds Boots at lunch but hadn't seen your message :( I work in Leeds city centre so often pop in in my lunch hour. -HB x

Sorry HB81, feel free to pm me and I am sure we could arrange something next time I have one.

Managed to roll into Boots. Did the Extracts and 2 x 150 points twice (1 with a sandwich, 1 with a meal deal) on the SS tills, SA saw me doing it both times, but just smiled. Bless her cottons.

Then got No7 Moisturising Gloves and tried going to a manned SA who would not let me use it with a PURPLE. The moose said it's less than £5 so you can't use it. I said where on the voucher does it say I can't? Anyway, she didn't budge, and would not let me use it. It does NOT say you can't use it on a full priced item less than £5. Think I will be calling CS! Anyway, went back down to SS, and tried it. Same SA (that saw me doing Extracts combo) saw me doing it and said, sure go for it. Got 2 x No7 Moisturising Gloves with 2 x PURPLES. Go me!

Then went to Clinique counter and asked after the Men's Concealer. The moo was really rude, but I purchased it anyway. Say the item does not cover my blemishes and spots and what not, would I be allowed to take it back? It is almost £12! Or is that only for rashes and skin problems?

Anyway, feeling really special cos I know how to use SS tills, and got 700+ points on a £16.00ish+ spend. Pat on the back for me please. LOL. Have a great weekend all.

PS. Does anyone have any H+B magz at their locals? I'm after some of those Extracts Mag vouchers. All my local ones seem to be out of them! If anyone can get some for me, I would be really greatful. I'll send out SAE to whoever can help. Not got any purples or anything to give out at the moment, sorry. PM me. Thanks.

    Hiya Mimi,

Great shop! Well done you. I would have thought that if the Clinique product doesn't work, you should definitely be able to take it back for a refund. Not sure of their official company policy though, hope someone else on thread can answer that soon.

My stores had some of the mags left, but can't get out to shops till Monday, but will go on the hunt for you and see if I can get you some if any are left then. But maybe you will get loads in the interim from people out Bootsing over the weekend!

Went on a joint boosing expedition today with some gilrs from MSE, had a great time ;), thanks everyone.

The problem was none of the perkies were working on anything reduced. We knew this was likely but tried anyway. But where there's a will there's a way, so there was nothing else for it, I just had to buy new products

I will post my shopping shortly, I am just going to catch up and see if I have missed any amazing glitches....No? Ok then but I will take a look anyway.

hiya was just wondering as everyone on here seems so knowledgeable about boots and theyre products i noticed this morning my daughter is gettin a lot of blackheads around to top of her nose area shes only ten but was wondering if there is anything she can use to help...wud appreciate any advice...preferably nothing too expensive as she will be payin herself lol thanks
    Just remebered!
Montage Jeunesse do face masks that look rather funky, and are made from natural stuff so might be suitable for your DD? I'm sure I've seen them in larger boots (not on the website though), and I've deffo seen them in superdrag, under £1.
They are recruiting for testers for their beauty panel at the moment, it says you get freebies from them when you complete questionaires. So might be worth a look Montage Jeunesse

And another one my DD's like is the Botanics range, I've just got them this Botanics Facial Pampering Kit £1.84, and is small sizes so you can test the range.(but a bit scarce, cos it's really good value!)

Just a little rant at Boots for not making its prices and deals clear in stores.

I never cease to be amazed that Boots has all these sales, then doesn't make sure signs are up so that customers know about the sales! A man was browsing the Sanctuary items today (probably looking for a mother's day gift as he was leafing through the store booklet), and two SAs couldn't help him find what he wanted from the booklet. I wasn't sure what he wanted, but I pointed out to him that there were some items on a display at the end of the shelf that were not in the main section, and he found something he wanted there. Then I told him he could get the body butters set free if he spent 10 quid. He was pleased and grabbed one. The SAs hadn't told him this, and there were no signs saying that the body butters were a gwp! There was just a pricetag saying it was 9.79, so how would you know it's a freebie?! I hate to think how many people laid out good money for Sanctuary products and didn't get the gwp they were entitled to. Not to mention, how many decided not to buy anything, but would have if they'd known they could get a very nice free gift?

On top of that, none of the darling s&g cosmetics and washbags had signs saying they are 1/3 off. I ended up buying one of each of the pink ones with stars (paid with points), but how many people would've been tempted to buy if there had only been a sale sign posted? Really, really shoddy, and Boots must lose a lot of sales over such carelessness.

Fyi, these are the bags I got. ;)

Hi all, getting ready to go out today, but I am lacking in enthusiasm, due to the fact that I agree with OP - those Perkies are very restrictive.

Who remembers Guy Mitchell, Frankie Laine, Lita Rosa, David Whitfield, Ronnie Renalde, Ronnie Carrol and Theresa Brewer!!!

Well, my friend is 70 and these are "hits" from her era, so hope she enjoys her goodies. The whole lot has cost me under a fiver, but I think it is worth about £100!!!

    Have a nice weekend all.

    xx

Me Miss :j :j I remember them all :o:oI think I know the words to all their songs as well. I learnt them in the womb!!!!!!!!!

I hope you had a good shop sandra, I agree about the perkies, it's a real problem, £5 to spend and nothing free to spend it on :confused:

I am sure that your poorly friend will love her gift. (Can I be your poorly friend too please)

I don't like Bootsing with OH either. He had a moan at me last week as he wanted to get on the computer and I was on this thread and I kept saying, "I'll be off here in a minute". A minute ended up as half an hour! Since then he's kept saying things like "are you looking at that site so that you can save the grand total of 10 p" (he just doesn't get it). At the weekend I was out shopping with him and we went into Boots. I got some sunglasses (must admit it was useful to have him there for a second opinion). When I got to the counter, he was right behind me. I said to the SA "I'll buy the sunglasses with points" and he was like "oh, you mean with OUR points?". Er, I don't think so, matey. Most of those points have been meticulously planned and worked on by me (and with the help of all you lovely people) over many months, THEY ARE MY REWARD, THEY ARE MINE!!

footmadgal, I could've written that post myself. DH and DD are always on at me for spending so much time on the PC. They talk about me all the time. One will say to the other "oh no. She's on that boots thread again. As if she doesn't have enough toiletries and freebies already"

pollsdolls, I know I've said this before, but you really are a very wise and lovely lady. You are an asset to this thread:A[/quote]

Sally, thank you that is really kind of you. I think you need to tell the girls I met up with today though. I made a faux paux today over a film, and they all laughed at me (cruel lot) :o:o I am sure someone will spill the beans later, there are no secrets on here:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:they are ruthless!!!!!

I don't mind though if they are laughing at me they're leaving someone else alone
