The Vichy sets don't say "unrecognised item" - well they didn't yesterday.
They say "one free" on the SS tills (thanks for pointing out the bit about not paying with points on them though skibster. So did they change from "one free" to "unrecognised item" after you chose "pay with points"?)

I had trouble with the La Roche Posay free kits - they do say "unrecognised item" at SS tills. This is because they don't need scanning at all, I believe they're supposed to be handed out by the premium skincare rep (don't know if she does anything special with them, or just pop them in a bag for you to take away).
i've seen on here some pople getting them on manned tills-it comes up as unrecognised item but i dont know what happens after that?
    Anyone know ???

hope you'll be suing them soon as i heard somewhere that perfumes start to lose some of their smell /strength after a year not using them!
i've had to use mine so much now and give them away as prezzies!
but i have noticed that some still stay the same and are still as strong...

I think they last for years if unopened, and even opened if stored in their box out of direct sunlight. I remember someone last year posting some good information on this. But can't think who it was. Perhaps Sarah skint? Does anyone else remember?

As far as I've seen, it doesn't do that if you are paying cash/credit. It says something about it's not qualified or unrecognized if you pay with points while getting vichy gwp. Most likely the SA just wouldn't let you have it (mine did today, fluke I think). The till won't do anything funny if you aren't paying with points.

Not impressed with today's Bootsing activities at all :(

Spotted the No 7 brow & eye kits (christmas huh? ) but can't use a purple jobbie on them as they *are gift sets* Hmmmm......fairy snuff.

Finally found some No 7 old skincare Firming Body Cream(lilac packaging, included the skin spritz in the same range ) on the Last Chance to buy Stand. Nope........no go on the purple jobbie either.

    Left 'em.;)

Finally found some Extracts minis but the SA said *no way Jose* to both points coupons........got the old *not to be used in conjunction with any other offer* Chestnut........

So........As Teacher would say: Big red X for you Fosse Park......you must try harder!!
Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine. :)

It comes up as Vichy Gift 0.00. It would depend on whether the SA reads the box ("free when bought with 2 items - one to be skincare") or whether she/he just accepts the 0.00.

A word of caution though - they don't all have them, but I've seen the small plastic rectangular security tag on some Vichys so they may be on the La Roche-Posay boxes as well. Don't just pop them in your bag!
  • hi everyone
had a fab afternoon - got a meal deal and so also got my 6th free meal deal and made up my shop to £5 with a reduced NC bath pillow and something else?? ( gosh, havent a clue now what it was!!!;) ) got a perkie

    Hi Everyone
not been on for a few days as been busy + not wanting to buy much more from Boots yet lol

Anyway, I popped into my lil local + the SA was just putting more clearance tickets on dental things..

so a pretty good lil shop + all prices were either 75% off or more + dentyl mouthwash inc bogof .. :j

    Angel x

Isn't it always the same?? We are full of good intentions, no more money at Boots, etc. Until we go in and see the reductions and we just can't leave them there,
A shame not to buy them,
    So very cheap,
They were paying me to take them away. etc

We have all done it regularly.

(But why are the best reductions always found on these days) Law of sod?

My DD1 has dry straw like hair which seemed to be made worse by 'childrens' shampoos and conditioners. She is now using Herbal Essence (I think the extra shine or ultra shine something like that), and her hair has never looked so lovely.

Which is good as I have rather a lot of Herbal Essence to use :o

What a coincidence so do I. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    brutally snipped... ;)

Also, can anyone recommend a tasty lip balm to me? I'm bored of the Palmer's Cocoa Butter thing cos it doesn't even taste of mint! I don't want anything girly and I don't want a shiny one. Just something that will keep my beauties smooth and lip-lickingly-delish. Cheers.
    Hi Mimi
Have you tried the Expert Soothing Lip Protector yet?
It doesn't taste of anything and dries to a film rather than a thick tasty layer that you may be tempted to lick off :rotfl:
Highly recommended (by me) and comes in a unisex type tube with a rounded tip for application so not at all girly. I find it works well even on chapped lips and soon licks them into shape if you'll pardon the deliberate pun :D

PS I got mine last year when Expert was on offer and had those GWP tins of goodies so a great bargain. We must be due a new Expert gift sometime soon.
