P.S. If Triker's reading, what was it you paid for the Ymea (sp?) thing again please?
Haven't had chance to answer pm's or email, but will get on the case asap.[/quote]
Hi, apologies not posted here for a while, rre Ymea, I paid 45p each and they were on 3 for 2 so they were somethingeach, I bought 3 packs.
I've been a bit slack recently as my OH has just had an op so although got a few days off work I'm looking after him. That said, I did just 'nip in' to a Boots whilst I was buying some bits and bobs, resisted everything but they had this http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=51555&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=10551 reduced to £4.70 something .
I didn't buy any though but it did smell gorgeous and I spent the rest of the afternoon sniffing my wrist.:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

The Boots which I went to just said they put the £5 through as a £5 boots voucher. Paid £1.35 x 3 for compacts and £2 x 2 for foundations. Also as they put the vouchers through like this it said i was entitled to vouchers back with each transaction so came out with same amount of purkies I went in with.
This happened to me today too. After a very unsuccessful weekend of Bootsing where no reduced items were going through with perkies I finally found a store where I could do it! Hurrah! They just put them through as a Boots voucher to get round it.
The Stay Perfect foundations were still priced at £3.4*, so I got 2, and the Stay Perfect compacts were £6*, so I got one of those too. Also all of the Little Me Organics range were on the clearance section at half price, so I got some of that for the dcs, earnt 2 more perkies and got some of the No Grains Exfoliator. These sets were reduced to £2*, so I got 5 and the GWP. What I'm going to do with 5 Sento gift sets I don't know, but it would have been rude not to buy them!
Went to my local store on the way home and had a little glance at the clearance section. Saw this mascara on the stand priced at £3.51 each, so I picked up 3 because I thought they'd go through as 3-4-2, being Maybelline. I took them to the till where the manager was serving me, she nearly fainted! She said they were brand new and hadn't even been put out yet and someone must have put them on clearance by mistake! She put them through anyway and the offer did work, so I got all 3 for just over £7!
So all in all a very good day had by me! I just bored dp by showing him all my bargains as soon as he walked in the door...he just rolled his eyes and said "Boots...again?!" He thinks I have a problem!0 -
Just a quick hello. I saw two new fragrance GWP's instore today.
The first was a good sized clear tote bag from Marc Jacobs with "Marc Jacobs, Daisy" written across it in black lettering and a gold trim. I can't remember the details of the spend required but it was free WYB Daisy fragrance.
The second was a rectangular jewellry box made from bevelled mirror with a crystal knob on the lid. It comes in a gold gift box. This is free WYS £28 (I think) on SJP Lovely fragrance. There was also a poster advertising a new SJP fragrance, I can't remember the details and I'm not sure if this is included in the offer or not.
ETA The new fragrance is probably included as I see there are several different ones in the Lovely range.
The box is really nice though and would make a beautiful Mothers Day gift.0 -

Hi everyone:hello:
I've only recently joined MSE but have been lurking here for the last few weeks. I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful bargains that you keep finding, although it's costing me a fortune!!
I now have cupboards, wardrobes and drawers full of lovely goodies which I'm running out of room for and there's only so many bags I can hide. Do you all use the products you buy or end up giving them away?
Have a good afternoon everyone:beer:
Hi and welcome to the mad mad world of Bootsing :j .
I too have boxes and bags of Boots goodies all over my house and in the boot of my car, all perfectly normal for a Bootsaholic. I've only just decided that I'll do pamper gifts for my DD's teachers from my Boots stash, but up til then, all the stuff got from Boots was all mine mine mine :T . I did get loads of clearance shave gels etc in January, so OH is well stocked up because of my little hobby, and I have more HE than I know what to do with, due to the points glitch in January. Some of that I have given away. But I still just want stuff from Boots so I can bring it home, say it cost me nothing/very little, and its all soooooo pretty :rotfl: . Again, completely normal.
Enjoy!!!!0 -

Please can I just urge caution about your 'troll chart'.
I think it is in quite bad taste, and you could possibly land yourself, or Martin in hot water.
At the least, I think it is quite offensive, and at worst could be classed as libellous. I dont think it is really very fair to demonise people in this way, particularly as they could be fairly easily identifiable.
Just my opinion, but I felt so uncomfortable that I felt I had to express it.
Hi all.
The Troll Chart was merely a playful way of poking fun at SA`s that go out of their way to be rude and offend us Bootsers. It is obvious that lollyred1 and Sandrascarlet have been deeply, deeply hurt by two of Mr B`s staff, and on both ocasions felt the need to share the experience with the forum.
This to me served as a warning to avoid those SA`s if you shop at their store and while the chart was maybe a little childish in approach, the outcome does serve a use to any Bootsers in those areas.
It was never my intention to hurt anyone, (unlike the SA`s themselves), and if I have, I am sorry. But it seems to me that if the people on the list are reading this thread and getting offended, they have alot more apologizing to do than I ever will!
Anyway...........been away for a few days so not able to get to Boots lately. Will spend the night(s), reading through the thread in the hope of finding magnificent male glitches, (esp` Gillette silver bags in merseyside!!!).
Hope you are all well and Bootsing strong.
Go forth and Boots.;)0 -
Just wanted to say a huge thank you - I have parted with a large proportion of my Boots stash to make up hampers for my mum's students - they are fundraising for their end of course theatre production and these will form part of the raffle prizes. The college is in quite a deprived area so little things like this make a huge difference to the amount of cash they can raise. Couldn't have done it without you all
(((big Boots hug))) :grouphug:
On a different note - Does anybody else have trouble with the health club discounts? I am definitley registered (it says so on the machine and CS says so too) but it never takes the discount off at the till - SA was quite snippy with me today (and told me he wouldn't go upstairs and check the SEL) - the product was definitely supposed to go through discounted too, but it just wouldn't - so I just left it as it was lunchtime and didn't want to cause a scene:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Howdy all,
I've been lurking around for a few days trying to absorb all of your advice.
I went to my local branch (Crawley) today, unfortunately they don't have any new extracts mini's - well none that I could find anyway- only the mediteraean ones. I ended up getting an Extracts lip balm though, used MAG and ACM vouchers no probs.
Happily discovered that you could use No7 Perkie on the Mini Brush Set (http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=335132&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051).
I ended up getting 3 - at seperate tills of course:rolleyes:.
The No7 SA said that the perkies could be used on all No7 accessories, but not Ruby & Miller's.
V.little in the clearance section though. Oh and the only Vichey I could find was a travel kit that came with a purchase
But all in all a good trip.
Hi and welcome to Bootsing!
You're doing better than me - I've not seen hide nor hair of either an Extracts lip balm or a mini in any of the stores around me.
Your Vichy travel set - if its in a square box, and it says "your FREE travel-size skin health kit" (when you purchase 2 Vichy products, one to be face care) - doesn't need a qualifying purchase at all, IYSWIM.0 -

It was the Eastleigh store. It is quickly becoming my fave store! The SAs are lovely and always willing to help. I picked up the last gift sets and the last 2 pale foundations, but they had some darker shades left. There was also quite a few of the compact foundations in lots of shades. They also had a few reduced eye shadows and pencils on the No7 counter.
My dp is used to my bargain hunting, I never leave the house without my stack of vouchers! I got him some pressies too, so he didn't complain!0
