    quote=balletshoes;19494265]Hi Bootsers,

Is there anywhere on the Boots site, or anywhere else, where I can find out about future store opening dates? I keep forgetting to phone CS during working hours (tried last weekend but the CS lady I spoke to said she'd have to check with a specific department that doesn't work outside office hours).

I'm trying to find out when the new Boots at Giltbrook retail park, just outside Nottingham (and next to Ikea :j ) is due to open. As its on my way home from work, literally 10 minutes drive away. I very much fear I may become their best-known customer in a very short space of time :rotfl: :o

Hi Balletshoes, I too have been googling to try and find out when this store opens, It looks like we might bump into each other while scanning the shelves for bargains :) , I cannot wait as I can walk to this store, rather than having to spend £4xx bus fare to notts or Derby, if you hear anything let me know and I will do the same for you, TIA :T

    Hiya HJA,

Mine is like that, apart from the one in the pic looks like its half foundation & the other half is the sponge applicator? Mine is a full circle for both (ie the sponge goes on top of the foundation) Shades look the same.:D

Rescuedogs - Thanks! it was definitely worth the wait!! And getting it for a pressie was better than paying for it myself!! They also got me a Boots giftcard, so I must have driven them mad, wittering on!! :rotfl:

    Mimi - pm'd you!

Just got back from a baby-sitting stint, and thought I'd see if I'd missed anything ....... 12 pages!

I'm only up to Page 72, but just wanted to say:

Moyilla: Glad the Men In White Coats didn't take you away, and the points/Perkie advice worked! But I am horrified about your poor little bubba and send huge hugs. Did he actually lose the tip of his finger (ouch!) or did your excellent quick thinking save it and it has been, er, um, attached?

I'm sure you're right about those screams and you will also still be dragging him away from doors when he's 27! I read that until she became Queen at 18, Victoria was never allowed to go up or down the stairs, unless she was holding someone's hand!

Rubylou: Horrified to hear about your mirror, and thank you for the advice. What a good thing that you weren't out when the smoke incident took place - shudder to think what might have happened. Thank God you were there.

Chazzy: Sorry to hear about your Digital Incident as well, and Grandma Scarlett sends you a big hug and kiss. xx

Kitiaracat: Why, why, why do some SAs have to make shopping experiences so nasty? Does it give them a cheap thrill or something?

Need a Break: I have been jotting down a few words next to peeps names, and I've got written down next to your "flowers". But for the life of me I can't remember why!!! Did you buy some/plant some/get some or was it to do with Boots bags with flowers on? So sorry, but whatever it was, I obviously thought I should send you some love - so that's what I'm doing! xx

Jam Sandwich: I am sooooooooooo sorry, but I sprayed coffee all over myself when I read your post, imagining you and your husband hitting the deck cos you thought you'd been shot!! Can you imagine the headlines? "Police in BlahBlahChester are hunting for a dangerous escaped deodorant, who has been terrorising the inhabitants with its head"!:rotfl:

Excellent Boots day in Chelmsford - will post if I'm still up later!

    xx

I tried to use a purple voucher on a reduced No7 nail varnish today, SA even asked when she was scanning it if I had a voucher, and said it had been working yesterday, but she couldn't get it to go through!! Didn't want to push my luck as she was adding 500pts manually from a baby voucher that didn't work already. None of my vouchers seem to be working at the moment.

I completely fell out with a SA bout this today, tried 2 x no7 p&p aftersun at £2 each and used perkie but it just kept bleeping! She got someone else to try and called manager but the smug litlle madam just laughed at me and said read the back of the voucher! I stood my ground but she wouldnt do anything just had a smug grin on her face! Left it in the end as couldnt be bothered but judging by the above post is this something thats becoming more frequent????????????

Its a bit odd that some stores are taking perkies on reduced stuff with no beeps and other stores aren't?? Could it be a regional thing?? I would have thought all the tills nationally would behave the same way:confused:
Maybe Mr B is trying to divide and conquer us
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

No, those aren't the ones I got, they are face powders.

Its definitely the Stay Perfect Foundation, the compact looks the same as your earlier pic, just the layout inside that differs. Maybe the fact that it has changed is the reason why they're being sold off? .Com may have the new ones on there.

I had to pay the £1.35 plus a perkie at my store, but the till was definitely scanning them for £3.**!!
