Boohoo, miserably pathetic bootsing attempt today. Couldn't find any of the extract minis in the 3 stores in Newcastle. Eldon Square had quite a few extract products but not any minis! Are these kept on a separate shelf in other stores?

Then picked up a No7 hydroquench pore refining serum from the reduced shelf ( priced at £5.xx I think) and took it along with other products (marie claire mag, meal deal and paracetamol & codeine) to the pharmacy counter. Handed over 250pts on No7 skincare from GWP first, which scanned fine, then perkie. Till beeped, and kept beeping no matter how many times SA tried it. She called over another SA, they had some debate about if it's just No7 cosmetics, at which point I explained the voucher is for R&M cosmetics and No7 (any) and said I'd done this transaction previously with no probs. Aren't I getting to be a brave bootsing liar!:rotfl:
2nd SA took perkie and serum and went off to ask someone about it, while 1st SA voided off serum and processed the other stuff, gave me yet another perkie (honestly, do these things breed or something?!) then started serving other customers. 2nd SA came back and said it was because serum is a 'last chance purchase' so I said it didn't matter and took back perkie, leaving serum. Both SA's were really good, bless them, and would have put it through if they could have!

Only when I got home I realised that I never got back my 250pts on No7 from GWP, and because serum was voided off pts haven't gone on my card.

All in all not a good day, as I didn't get anything worthwhile in any of the other Newcastle boots stores, but did come home with a very well-moisturised hand, as in trying to get samples from Clarins SAs in boots and John Lewis I had the same moisturiser tester put on my hand twice in the space of 5 minutes! No samples though, I tried using the line suggested on here about samples to see if I'm allergic, (I am actually allergic to quite a lot of skincare stuff) but was told Clarins have a policy that you can return stuff and get your money back if you're allergic to it, so I could actually buy the stuff today and bring it back if that's the case! Are Clarins getting strict with their samples, or am I just doing this wrong?!

went to cribbs causeway this afternoon, just to get out the house you understand ;).

Was amazed to see they still had a couple of too faced/urban decay reduced products. Grabbed three along with NC pillow @ 86p and a no 7 compact mirror.

The SA was amazed at price of makeup, then the SA next to her said that I would get bonus points (1000 points when you buy 3 too faced/urban decay products), turns out she was the too faced/urban decay rep that had reduced the products in the first place. I told them of my trip yesterday when the SA had voided my sale because she said I shouldnt get bonus points. They were gobsmacked, the rep said I should always go over to her stand and said that the points were there for the benefit of the customer :T.
I could have kissed them, 2 SAs who saw sense and were thrilled at the good deal I was getting :T:j:T. My faith in SAs and general humanity has been restored :A.

BTW perkie went through no problems with the no7 compact mirror. thought it was really nice to put in a pamper basket (and they're a lot easier to store than all the bottles and potions I have :o)

So spent about £9.96 gained a perkie and 1004 points :T:j
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

Had quite a good day today, started up in Sauchiell Street, 9 or 10 No Grains Exfoliators on No7 last chance to buy shelf-no price on. "Bought" 3 used perkies and 250 points voucher each time ( 3 seperate transactions obviously) Spent £0 Points gained 750 :j
Not much else of interest here, usual reduced SELs of the last week or so, nothing new but did notice they had Jasper Conran Womans Gift Sets (50ml perfume and 200ml body lotion) priced at £9.87-seems not a bad price but not really sure:confused:

Down to Buchanan Galleries, 3 No7 Anti Ageing Holiday Serum-£2 each, perkie worked no beeps-£1 to pay. Then got 2 No7 Nail Buffers, used perkies (seperately) £0 to pay (was starting to enjoy myself by this point! :D )

St Enoch centre-(where did all the putting sets go?? :D ) Realised the Extracts miins were not going to appear for me in Glasgow :p , so bought three Body Scrubs, 3 times- buying essentials making spend up to £5 to gain another perkie- gaining 300+ points per time.

Not much else new around these stores that i could spot...xxx

There were no urban decay products reduced but I bought 3 x pencil sharpeners at £3.92 each and got the 1000 points and a £5 voucher. I would have got another 3 sharpeners and 1000 points but there were only 2 left. I'd like to buy one of the Babyliss hair straighteners that are on offer for £28.xx and I only started off with £8 of points today. I might check out Chelmer Village branch to see if they do Urban Decay as the Meadows branch doesn't sell it.

I've had a couple of interesting Boots visits this week.

DD and I went to the Princes Street store on Monday. I managed to womble a perkie so was quite chuffed. We had a quick look round downstairs, where I added Olay Definity cleanser and gwp, then headed upstairs to clearance shelves. Loads of No7 things on offer, so stuck a couple of them in the basket in the hope of disguising the gwp.

When I got to the till SA put cleanser and gwp through without comment, then added the No7 items, took the perkie and scanned it, but for some strange reason it didn't take the £5 off. I didn't want to complain as I'd managed to get away with the gwp. At least the perkie was a wombled one so I hadn't lost out, and I got another as my purchases were over £5.

When we got to Pizza Hut for tea I opened the gwp to have a look. I'm glad I hadn't paid full price for the Definity. The gwp looks nice but I don't think it's as good a gift as the No7 one. But I will use the Definity so it was a nice little extra.

Mid week I went to my usual branch and it looked as if the clearance shelves had just been topped up :) I got Mediterranean body scrub, body butter and bath foam all for £1.20 each. Another shopper was there at the same time and quickly put several tubs in her basket. I also picked up a Boots Organic 3 piece collection and a Boots Aromatherapy collection too. Both were just over £1.50. Also Ted Baker Body wash for £1.15. I was delighted with my purchases.

I lost my AC last week, but cancelled it immediately so I'm just waiting for my new one to come. I picked up a temporary one and have registered it in DS's name. I'm using it just now so no idea how many points on it. He says I've to keep it anyway as he doesn't want to use it. He despairs of our Bootsing.

Today I headed back for another wee look round. This was after visiting M&S sale. I blame DD, if she hadn't phoned this morning to tell me about her trip to Princes Street M&S I wouldn't have gone for a look.;)

The clearance shelves didn't seem to have anything more than they had midweek, but they did have more Olay gwp in and the pore scrub cleanser. So I decided to give it another try. I also picked up another couple of the Ted Baker body wash and a box of mansize hankies with balm. I've been sneezing terribly for the last couple of days so my poor wee nose needed some tlc too. I headed for the tills ready to try the "Oh I didn't realise" if challenged about the gwp. SA tried to put it through first and said it was a free product with a purchase, but then she saw the cleanser so scanned it and then gwp again. It worked, of course.:j

I was exhausted after that so decided to head for Starbucks to have my free cup of coffee. I bought a lovely slice of ginger cake to go with my coffee and sat down to enjoy. I decided to open the gwp to have a look at the contents. Good job I did. I realised as soon as I opened it that it didn't look right. Half of the products were missing. But now I have the dilema of risking taking it back and being told I shouldn't have had it with the cleanser. So I decided to leave it till tomorrow and take it in without the rest of my purchases. If I accidentally don't have my receipt with me there shouldn't be a problem.

All this shopping is such hard work I feel the need for a pampering evening. I certainly have more than enough lotions etc. Can't think where they all came from

    Hiya,

Me too! I love No7 totally quenshed (think thats its name) Was on reduced so might be a bit scarce now. Also No7 P&P body moisturiser around £25 ish but so good and a wee treat! I usually do a good scrub with exfoliator and one of those puff things or gloves then don't dry properly and shove hundreds on to my legs and arms. Just my own thoughts, works for me......;)

Went for a Bootsing trip today to two stores in Stockport - thought I'd try my luck with the No 7 Compacts but the Peel Centre wasn't having any of it!

I asked the No 7 SA to scan it for me, as I was gonna try 2 with a Perkie at the main till. She said "They are going through at the £6 price, thats already half price" then I said that "my friend" had bought some yesterday at £3.** & she admitted that they were scanning at the lower amount but they'd had strict instructions from Head Office that they had to manually override the price back up to £6.**, so I just took the one.

I managed to grab a few items off the clearance shelves (this store is tiny but has the biggest clearance bit of anywhere in this area, imho). They had some Body Butters & Body Washes for £2 & Body Scrubs for £3 (think these were Mediterranean ones) but I resisted the urge, though looking on .com, there is a 1/3rd off, which would no doubt have come off the clearance price too, so I missed out there!!

    Shop 1

    3 x Benefibre 245gm £2.00 (£8.80 on .com!) & went thru on 342, therefore £4 for 3, saving £22.40 in real money!!
2 x Coconut & Almond Oil Body Lotion - clearance price £1.00, scans at 66p each (not sure of proper price, can't find them on .com)
Total to pay £5.32 & earned a Perkie!

    Shop 2

3 x Benefibre Single Servings (boxes of 7) at 45p (£2.93 on .com) on 342, saving £7.89 - lovely SA reminded me that they were 342, as I'd only picked 2 up, so she scanned them 3 times & told me to go & get another one! :T
No 7 P&P Compact - SA scanned it at £3.** but when I passed over the Perkie, she scrutinised the screen & then looked puzzled - she then said "Its only £3.**" so I said "Oh, can I grab another one then & still use the voucher?" (Can't blame me for trying!! :rotfl: ) but she said she'd gotta ask someone & disappeared off, so I knew I'd no chance of that happening! She came back & said she'd been shown how to manually override the price, so had to void off the transaction & do it again! In the end, I left her to it & went to get my 3rd Benefibre, & when I got back, she'd still not sorted it! Eventually, she manually put it through the till as £1.35, as it wouldn't do the Perkie & just took the Perkie off me.
    Total to pay £2.25

Then I toddled off to Merseyway - couldn't find any clearance other than a few No7 bits hidden behind a pillar, debated buying the Pore Refining serum which was £6.** from memory, but didn't think it would work with Perkie so left it. Just remembered that there were some electric toothbrushes & brusheads reduced near the No 7 counter, on an end of aisle, if that helpsanyone, but didn't have time to stop & look as car park ticket was due to run out! Also, meant to check in there whether they were letting you have the No 7 compacts at £3.** but forgot!!! Duuuuuuhhh!!!

    Shop 3
    Sandwiches £2.80
    Creme Egg 3 Pack £1.26
Diet Coke x 2 £1.05 each but on Buy 2 for £1.70 deal & also part of the meal deal & also used a ACM voucher so total cost £0.09 for 2nd bottle
Meal Deal was £3.29 (thought they were only £2.99 outside London?)
Total to pay £3.38 & got a Survey to complete (my 2nd in a month!) Fingers crossed!!

Oh, picked up my ACM points from my last .com order & 2 magazines on my travels, to! So came back with 2 x carrier bags full & only spent £10.95! Bargain!!

I just wish they had some SS tills in my local stores! I wanted to try the Extract & TS minis with the ACM vouchers. Good luck to everyone getting their £3.** foundations in different parts of the country!

Has anyone been to Manchester Fort recently? Anything to report? Might try & get to Trafford Centre this week, as need a visit to Lush! Slightly off-topic, nipped into Quality Save on way home & picked up some of these http://www.shopwiki.co.uk/detail/d=ROC_RENEWEX_DAILY_RENOVATING_CLEANSING_PADS_24/
for only £1.99! They come in a fab gold plastic tub, too!! Perfect for keeping them dry in the bathroom!

Love reading your posts! Keep them coming!
(( hugs)) to all that need them & :smileyhea to all.

    Suzi xx
