  • Evening all, didnt get to go to out of town boots as had to cancel trip, but managed to go to a local store. All the foundation and compacts (no7) had moved from clearance back to the normal no7 display, so couldnt be bothered to get anymore. Got the bluey coloured no7 exfoliator scanning at £3.xx plus a reduced blusher only £1 to pay with perky. Did notice there is another of these exfoliators in slighty different packaging , so got it price checked by really lovely sa , came up at £7.xx so left it, just a heads up to all, so you dont get a shock at tills. Nothing else of interest, really need some mens glithches etc , cause have a few occasions coming up and now that im not working out of the home per say, i need to stretch my odd job money as far as poss. Seems i am just not one of those women that can go spend my hubbys money without feeling a bit guilty:o, dh is fine about it but i think its just that ive allways seen my mum do something be it her career or little jobs when we were babies, that i just cant get use to it.
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)

Managed to get sorted for DS1's party :T

Went to Boot's and had a good look around in the make-up section. Decided to go for Natural collection as it was on offer 3 products for £5.00. Got clear mascara, lip gloss and duo eye shadow. Picked up some little brush applicators's too. Couldn't find make-up remover so went for facial wipes (asked a young girl if they would work :o )

Got a gorgeous little gift bag too. Filled it with pink tissue paper, gifts & home made card. Have to say I feel very pleased with myself - all thanks to you ladies ;):D

<snipped>I realised as soon as I opened it that it didn't look right. Half of the products were missing. But now I have the dilema of risking taking it back and being told I shouldn't have had it with the cleanser. So I decided to leave it till tomorrow and take it in without the rest of my purchases. If I accidentally don't have my receipt with me there shouldn't be a problem.

This happened to me with another GWP. I just took it in and explained to the first SA I saw and no problem - just exchanged it for another one (after SA checked to make sure it was as it should be). It's bound to happen occasionally as people open them up to have a looksee. Didn't even show receipt.

Picked these up on my bootsing trip yesterday - fenjal classic shower mousse:

    10072226?wid=200&hei=250&op_sharpen=1

Was 4.88 reduced to 1.22 and

    10072219?wid=200&hei=250&op_sharpen=1

fenjal creme oil body wash, was 3.87 reduced to 1.21.

Never tried fenjal before, but they both smell so lovely.

Nothing very exciting at the moment is there? Spent today sorting The Stash. Should probably go cold turkey as now have 12 moving boxes - d'ya think it excessive to have one box for perfumes; one box for haircare; one for skincare; one for handcare etc etc.

Thanks to the OP who mentioned the Vichy kits going through free. There are four kits for different skin types and they all scan 0.00. Managed to get some ;) and am keen to try - at this stage probably in five years when I've exhausted the other creams and lotions. The other free kits, name escapes me - La Rochay or something?? don't scan at all. The till says product not recognised and to set aside for assistance - which I quickly tossed somewhere out of reach.

    went into town today.
didnt find ANY decent clearance stuff except for some no7 exfolitator for £4.30.
i bought 3 of the old bottle of HE shampoo and 1 conditioner. All came along with a free bottle. (the pink ones dont have free ones anymore :()
and i bought a boots extracts body wash

    in total £8.44

    Minus £3 herbal essences voucher
    total £5.44

so essentially i got £20 of herbal essences for £3 :) what a bargain. my brother was just amazed that it was buy one get one free. :rotfl:

has anyone seen any mini extracts in either boots in town or the one in kingsheath?

and could someone please tell me where the reduced/clearance items are in either boots in town, or kingsheath?

and last question (really sorry) has anyone managed to get some reduce no7 foundation in either boots in town or the one of kingsheath and is it on the SEL?

    sorry for so many questions.

I've just Googled a mooncup image and realised that I've seen one before without any packaging, I thought it was some sort of suction device for inverted nipples :o

    Anything exciting Polls ?

I picked up some Mens No7 shave recovery balm thingy for £3.18. Bought 2 of them. With 10% off and using a perkie, I only had 72p to pay.:T

Also found some reduced Multibionta 60's reduced to £2.99 a box. Bought 3 and as they were on a 342 only paid 598 pts. ***
*** I can remember in my pre-bootsing days paying £20 a box for these  They have certainly come down in price since then.

I only went into boots to collect my order (finally) so sometimes the savings turn up when least expected.

Ta muchly. PS. Dad seems to be getting better bit by bit. Thanks for all the support and pm's etc. Kisses to all and sundry (I'm in a generous mood tonight :p ) x x x

DON'T WANT ANYMORE, THANKS LOVELY LADIES
  • I managed to get the No7 at £3 something today. Seen them with clearance sticker on and thought I would be sly and take them to the ss tills. They scanned at the £3 something but then would not accent the perkie on 2 items. I caught the attention of the SA and said it says deal not met - and she tried to override it which it wouldn't so she took me to a manned till and put them through herself. I pointed out that I scanned the box and she did the same (what an angel) and manually took the £5 off. She done this twice so got 2 foundations and 2 companct for under £3. well chuffed. especially as she also gave me another perkie with each transaction. Gonna give CS a ring and say what fantastic service she gave.
edit - wish I could get a spell check in boots as with my excitement at bargains all my sense goes!
I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o
