Mmmm just watched this video of how to apply the minerals makeup, http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=10052&categoryId=42909

I got some of this ages ago, anyway the make up brush that 'Lisa' uses is very similar to the bronzing brush that is about £1.70 something, described above post.

It looks like 1/3rd was coming off Gillette items, even those on Clearance, and the same for Soap and Glory.

*Flings herself at the feet of the great god of reductions*, 'please let it be so, I have been a good girl and therefore truly deserve Soap and Glory at greatly reduced prices'.:iloveyou: _party_

Hi Lolly! :hello: Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit low, no surprise really, but you should find that each day now you feel a bit stronger.

Hope you enjoy your day out.

  • I bought the foundation and the comact today . Foundation was £7.00 and comact £6 something but of course used perkies with them, Am slightly miffed to see other people still got them at half this price today, especially as I paid at the No7 till and she seemed to be putting the price in manually!! Probably correcting it from the lower price !

Open a large box of tissues first!
Make sure you are wearing 'Stormproof Mascara'...No7 or anything from the Boots range!
Then read it if you dare!
Aww its a tear jerker...As bad as the the pottery making scene in 'Ghost' ....

Thank you so much to everyone who says that they enjoy my posts, and would like to come Bootsing with me!

Alas, we all live in such far flung corners of the British Isles, so that's why I have a Virtual Coach Trip for our outings!

Whenever I post about my Bootsing trips, I suppose I write as I speak, but I do love the English Language - there are just so many yummy words to use! When I first retired I did a few years stint as a Voluntary Reading Assistant at a local primary school - making sure I chose one that my DGC didn't attend! ;) Learning to read opens up such a huge world.

I read a lot, and try to find out the meaning of any words I don't understand, and I do 2 crosswords first thing in the morning! But there are always so many new words, and meanings like, Pinkies, Blinkies, Blueys, Bluey-Two-ies, Wrinklies and now Perkies - not to mention Wombling, Heads Up, Flamed, and Laters!

And tonight, for the very first time, I was able to read all the abbreviations on page one - and get them right! :j

I hope as well that, in some small way, I can assure anyone who is about to retire that it's not the end of the world!!! There is a wonderful, cheap life out there, just waiting to be grabbed.

And, as we all know, there's nothing like a bit of successful Bootsing to take your mind off your aches and pains!

Hope you all have a super weekend and Eyes Peeled for the next glitch! :T

    xx

Oh dear ladies, I am gutted!:(

After posting earlier that I couldn't wait to go Bootsing for the first time since I replaced by AC, I went to Boots, put my card in the ACM, excitedly printed off three copies of the Extracts voucher (thanks so much to the person who suggested going back in to the various sections individually after looking at all offers:A ) and walked off ready to find me some bargains.:j

I'm sure you eagle-eyed Bootsers will recognise the one fundamental thing I failed to do... TAKE THE FLAMIN@ CARD OUT OF THE ACM!!!!!!!!  _pale_

I am sooo disappointed! I checked the machine and it wasn't there and I asked at the CS desk but they hadn't had it handed in.

On a more positive note I managed to get the foundation compact for £3.18 (free with perkie) so was v.happy.:D Like another poster, I also got some of the scotch tape refills which I too love - they're great aren't they?! Although a bit miffed that they were 50p and not 20p like the OP.

SandraScarlett, once again your posts have literally made me LOL! Particularly the bit about having mastered double quoting and texting but uploading pics being a bridge too far! If I'm like you when I retire I will be one happy lady!:T

Apologies for the long post and the excessive use of smilies! Think I got a bit carried away there! xx
