you may find they take a fuel deposit - the cost of a full tank of fuel from your card and refund it once they have the car back with a full tank - thats avis's normal practice and it usually take up to a week for the money to go back .

Thats not the case, When i rang to ask why they had taken £35 they told me it was for fuel i had used. They said the driver had filled the car up when he got back to the branch. They would not be moved. It was only when i got in touch with Renault that they refunded the £35. A full tank of fuel for a Laguna is way over £35 more like £75

Not at all, you have just missed out on those that beat you to the dates. They don't have an infinite number of vehicles.

We actually have ours due this weekend, so any advice on would be great. I heard on HUKD that one person got charged for fuel even though they filled it back up!

I have had mine, didn't take anything of my card even though they said they would put a hold on for £80 and then refund it once car was returned.

car was ok and all you have todo is a questionare about a week later from renault.
Avis dropped the car off a few hours earlier than arranged and then picked it up a day late, apart from this, it is a great deal !!!!!
