Love the quilt Csarina, wish I could do that. You must be so proud of yourself.
had a good day, got things done and my cheap Quorn chilli worked out great with loads left over for the freezer.
Best wishes to all

Just popped back on to say that I did manage to finish the 4th page of my cross-stitch, and that I've had quite an OS day, really. Sadly feeling down tonight but I'm going to try and do some stuff to take my mind off it. Hope everyone has a good evening, I'm going to try and find a documentary.
Got to say, thanks for the welcome though. It's lovely.

Haven't done much today apart from cook roast chicken dinner from M&S tenner deal and watched footie. Oh and did some ironing earlier too.
Just heard from DIL and DGD is still in hospital having the nebuliser every 2 hours. They are not putting in a feeding tube as yet as they are concerned she will pull it out. Also don't want to put a drip in as she is covered in chicken pox and they are worried about infection. Poor little darling, she is really going through it and so are DS and DIL too. Fingers crossed overnight she might start to feel a bit better.0 -
HI all and thanks for the good wishes about my move to France.
RosyRed - we'll be in the Poitou-Charente area - it's lovely there. There are still bargains to be found so you may find something there one day! Our place is only semi-renovated but habitable.
(((Hugs))) - not had much time on here - been sorting out my vast collection of books and trying to decide which ones to keep.
Have a great evening.

Crossing everything I can think of for your granddaughter.
Have just taken DD to the rain station to go back to uni, she has only been back for a day but miss her already.
She will be back for Easter for four weeks so looking forward to that.
Enjoyed the meal out last night and also had a nice Sunday lunch, we had the chicken meal deal too!
Watched the first series of Jonathon Creek which was one of her presents and made her a box of Twink's hobnobs to take back with her. Had to save a few for her younger sister to take for school packups this week.
Csarina
That quilt is beautiful. I wish I could do that.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Good evening everyone. Hope your day has been a good one. DH was off today after 6 days on. We took a walk with the furchild to the park where we played fetch with her for quite a long time. She's curled up on the sofa sleeping so soundly. Wish I was doing the same.
I made a roasted chicken, gravy, mash, sprouts and gingered carrots for our Sunday tea. DH seemed to enjoy it. I ate because I hadn't today but honestly didn't want to. There's the choc fudge pudding for afters with ice cream. Guess I ought to dish some up for DH as we ate our tea several hours ago.
Still not feeling the best and probably a bit (more than a bit?) down because of that. I always am feeling tired, my tummy and abdomen are still sore and I'm having a very hard time getting motivated. Bleh. I'm sure it will pass soon enough tho.
(((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))) to all. Have a good rest of the evening. Hope to be back on track tomorrow with the thread and OS at home.

Csarina - that quilt looks so beautiful. I wish I could make something like that.
Chrisca - keeping all things crossed for your little DGD.
The jerusalem artichoke soup was a success with little bear and dear heart but I didn't like the flavour much. As I have never had jerusalem artichokes before I assume that it is their flavour I didn't like. Hester - I will keep you posted about any after effects! Two pots of the stuff in the freezer for dear heart to take to work (gloat points) and a feeling of satisfaction. I shall post recipe tomorrow. Also next recipe is, IIRC, carrot, lentil and cashew nut soup and I do want to have a go at that. Spicy apple loaf? Is that on the index?
We took little bear to the park today and he had a marvellous time, so I am desperately hoping for a full night's sleep.

Just popping on to update...the cake (not bun!!) is in the oven....its a thick cakey texture so am interested to see how it comes out. Am being made a member in my church soon so will make some as a frienship jesture to celebrate - as long as it doesent taste rank!
Have been o/s and "cooking up a storm" as my old boss would say; two cakes, 8 batches soup - 4 for me and the rest for the boys who are coming to dinner tomorrow (there was a valid reason for late cancellation so he's forgiven!) and two loaves of bread. Pectin is also simmering away - an experiment that I hope will save me oodles on buying it!
Now settling down to glass of wine, packing up the starter for csarina (quilt is beautiful...) and going to watch come dine with me...will try and upload cake photo later...
thanks re back update...mines dreadful so anything that helps the better!
ummmmm...its yummy! Need to put more cinnamon in but the texture is lovely and light and almost creamy inside but almost crunchy outside...definately worth the wait! photo to follow...as long as theres some left am on slice #2!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
