Happy St Davids Day to those who celebrate - enjoy your day.
Waiting for the sausages to cook for sandwiches. Tea is in the pot. We're off to Huntingdon to the races today.
Washing done and needs to be hung indoors.
DH off out walking dogs so I'd better scoot off here and set the table.
Enjoy your Sunday

Morning everyone - hope you don't mind me joining in.
I need to make more of an effort to get back into my moneysaving, and it being the 1st of March I'm trying to do just that! Not really much to contribute beyond I have nothing but ironing and some stitching to do today, and I might try and get another couple of friends into the OS way. I'm all stocked up with most things thanks to the market over the past couple of weeks but have to do a shopping list for other household stuff like loo roll, so I shall be looking at the websites to try and find a bargain.
Chilli con carne tonight, with some sort of potato side dish, with leftovers for tomorrow night. Thankfully I've got my meal plan done for the entire month now, and feel quite accomplished in that regard.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all,
Had a great time at the party last night, all of the chilli was eaten (smug smile) Got home at 1.30 but body clock still woke me at 5.30 so I've prept the veg to go with a shoulder of pork, £2 a kilo at Morries, for dinner. Still have loads of apples in the freezer so it's crumble for pud.
DH and I have to meet up with the new tennants to sign agreements as they want to move in on Wednesday. Then meet DF's at our local so not much going to get done today.
Off to catch up on the thread, hope it's a good St Davids Day for all.0 -

I posted a long post last night, but it went into outer space, coud not be bothered to do it again. Gist of it was I had a reasonable day yesterday. Visit to my quilting friend was excellent......came home OH watching Rugby so I got to the machine and sashed the blocks for a quilt, finishing it today hopefully.
Another grey day......woke too late to go to the allotment so it will have to wait until tomorrow..............cleaning Tuesday this week. We have someone coming to look at our carpet which has developed black marks in the doorways.........so I can do the cleaning whilst I am waiting for them to arrive.

Good morning and HAPPY ST DAVID'S DAY to all those celebrating it.
Can I just say that I am not willing to discuss the rugby.
Nesssie LOL at your washing problem. No, probably best if it stays indoors eh. Someone once told me that it's not doing the washing that's the issue, it's hanging it out so that people are aware you've done it! :rotfl: N.Uist is a lot more relaxed - the shops even open! Oh the shame of it!
Frugalswan you are most welcome! Good luck with your striving towards a higher level of OS'ness, as it were!
Mioliere good luck sorting out things for your move - it all sounds most exciting!
Essex Girl no sun across here today either so I can't even send some your way! It's grey and gloomy although not actually raining I don't think. The little Robin just came and sat on my bird feeder and was a vivid splash of colour against the dullness outside!
The party last night was good fun - we went to our friends place first and gave them a jar of Marmalade (I also took some Twinks over - they went down a storn and I suspect I may be asked for the recipe!) - they had a jar of their HM marmalade for us too so we swapped! We then went on to the party which went well - met some nice people too, I'm not great with the whole meeting strangers thing and usually stick like glue to my OH's side but last night was really good in that respect and that's a boost to the confidence!
Today we'll finish off sorting the lamb out - I have the two breasts to decide what to do with, the shanks are going on to cook in a minute - probably in the SC, I've got to find a recipe for them. Got to sort out the freezers too to make sure I have space for the curry that got sc'd yesterday - I should get 6 portions for the two of us from that. Told MrEH yesterday that I don't intend to nag him about the hoovering but if he doesn't do it over the weekend I shall simply do it myself on Monday evening - me doing that has given me neck problems all week so hopefully he'll be guilted into doing it. He always says "You only have to remind me" but I have no wish to turn into a nag! He doesn't have many housework jobs to do so I don't feel bad about giving him that one!
Finished February with £1.87 spare in the grocery budget! March's has a chunk straight off the top of it for a share of the cost of the lamb (which we're splitting across 6 months) but I don't have to worry about buying loos rolls as the BOGOF in Makro last month will last ages yet. I also have washing powder and dishwasher tabs for a while to come. I shall write a strict Trsco list for next week and not take MrEH with me as that's always a disaster!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
