Evening all......still hanging on to my last few pennies this month:rotfl: I had a massive baking day today with all the ingredients I had in. 7 fruit Cakes (6 for the freezer) 20 Fruit Scones, a batch of Twinks Hobnobs, 6 portions Vegetarian Lasagne and 6 portions of beef Curry````phew that should keep us going for bit longer and stock up the freezer a bit. I need to meal plan very carefully for the next week or so to make the best of what we have left. Feel we may just have to buy more milk, fruit & Veg though.

    Evening all

Can't remember if I signed up for April Grocery Challenge so MRS M PLEASE COUNT ME IN FOR £350 FOR APRIL, many thanks. Hopefully this month I won't bust the budget as much as March but we do have Easter hols and children off school for 2 weeks ......! Will give it a go, as only been doing GC for 2 months, 1st month I was £40 over and in March £56.95 over ..... my totals seem to be going the wrong way .......!? I'm still going to keep trying though as I feel it will come right eventually (she hopes!).
    Keep safe and well everyone

Just spent £5.90 on essentials - bread, milk, sugar, marge, salad. Thanks for the tip Miss-spent on not using marge with chutney etc, another thing that seems obvious now it's pointed out, but hadn't occured to me! :o

Bought a 6-pinter of milk this time, had to go to a shop slightly further from home, but I'm sick of buying it. We seem to have gone through 8 pints in 4 days  between 2 of us (OH's weetabix habit)!! He won't even try own brand weetabix, so I'm paying for the expensive stuff, and he got through a box of 48 on his own in about a week. Think I'm going to save an empty box and sneak cheap ones in to see if he notices the difference ;)

I've got to get some studying done this eve, just trying to summon up the willpower, and now my downstairs neighbour has helpfully put some bangin choons on to thump through my floor  Will have to drown it out with tv or radio, which means I'll keep distracting myself, and I really don't need any excuses!!
being a weetabix freak myself:D Asda's own are the closest to the real thing. Lidl's Sunny Bix:confused: ( £2.97 ish for 72:j ) arent too far behind either:T

and now for the reason I popped in here in the first place......

CAN YOU PUT ME DOWN FOR £200 AGAIN FOR APRIL PLEASE MRS M?

I am not yet declaring for this month yet, as I will need to do a small shop today for some bits and pieces. But I will be well under budget:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

i will need to go to Lidls as our local Somerfield is being wonderfully transformed  into a MrT's.
I haven't decided whether this is a good or a bad thing yet:cool:

Hi not declaring yet as have a few more days to go but can you add me to the list please for £500 again, dont know if Ill make it as children are all off for 2 weeks and they eat me out of house and home during the holidays:eek:

Will try to fill them up with lots of baking and HM breadrolls, they love these and they are more filling than shop bought bread
