Well I'm back from my holiday, had a lovely time and now getting back into the Grocery challenge. Had a really simple pasta, sauce and bacon dinner last night (all from the freezer). Need to go out today to get some fruit and veggies, but need to be really careful as we now only have one wage coming in as my boyfriend has hurt his back and can't work at present. My parents got me a few things whilst away (they go to Costco and we split packs of things) including a nice piece of beef and one of pork, this has been added to the total so far.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

Mrs M please put me down for £140 again for April which will be 6th-31st for me, should be do-able!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Well i went over budget this month set myself £150 now its £156 still got till the 31st to go:eek:. Not declaring yet as i still have the rest of the week to go.
I'm quite pleased with myself, not sure if i'm allowed to though because i went over. Last month i spent £390 so chuffed that i have chopped by 2 /3 of the price alone.
Been busy eating stuff out of the freezer, tins are running low but still got quite a bit in. Got a chicken batli in the slowcooker for tea. Yesterday made 6 six portions of mince tomato sauce with oats and veg for the rest of the month, its a bit watery so i may end up using it as more a base, but who knows yet.
Hope your all okay x0 -

Morning all - thought I'd manage without spending any more this month (ends on Friday - big shop on Saturday) but I've been working away for a few days and have come back to no milk, no marg/butter, very manky few pieces of fruit. Will have to pop out to Aldi at lunchtime and get a few essentials to keep us going - hope to spend no more than a fiver
Don't you just love OHs that are at home, use eveything up and don't think to replenish!!! He's lovely really just a bit disorganised.0 -
I will need to buy milk today, as usual! We have an meeting at Eldest DS's school this evening. I have goulash defrosting so I only need to make rice when we get home. The younger boys are going for pizza with my BIL.
My freezer is stuffed so I need to concentrate on using up things from it. I have no space to put anymore meals in. I am making sticky onions at the moment. Hopefully, i can squeeze a few bags in the freezer somewhere.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Hi All,
Sorry I've not been around - computor had to go to the shop as was poorly.
I did keep a manual log of my groccery costs for the last 2 weeks.
Total spent in 2 weeks is £98.06 which did include a takeaway last weekend.
Not doing to bad - still have £25,98 to last 6 days. Hopefully we will make it.

Hi all
Just wondered if I can join in for the April spend board? My budgeted spend for the month will be £150 overall, broken down into £30 amounts per week, starting as of this friday as OH gets paid weekly
Not sure how we will get on, spend has been a bit wild recently but am getting back into OS ways so figure now is the time to rein it inHave started meal planning again lately so that is helping :j
