Working women almost certainly caused the credit crunch

What a huge pile of rubbish this article is.
Thanks to me working my family were able to put aside twice as much money to go towards deposit on the house.
And as to what people do or don't say on their deathbed... I have been self-employed for the past 3 years working from home (had my second child) which brings me my own income but which also means that I have been out of the proper job for 3 years. And if I were to die tomorrow... I would certainly remember the times when I was working because it was exciting and fulfilling and helped me meet new people and new experiences - I was alive then! Now, as much as I adore spending time with my girl, all I ever see in my life is her playgroups and baby gym and baby swimming and all the same mummies stuck at home and nothing to talk about but their child development and milestones. A few years down the line - and it's talks of school and there you go, you get even mopre subjects to discuss. It's like it's not my life anymore - it's my daughters. And if I had not had my education and my job before becoming a SAHM I would never know what real life feels like. And I would not know what I am so much looking forward to now.0 -
But if all families only earnt one income then house prices would be lower and then you wouldn't need the extra deposit. Simples.matched betting: £879.63

I think the postman was the only one who wears a namebadge in their job, so the detective knew what his name was straight away.
Cleaver got the right answer, and pretty quickly. In the middle of the floor was the gun that had been used to shoot her On the other side of the room stood a postman, a lawyer, and an accountant.
The detective knew the killer was a man as he heard the murdered woman shout out "Don't shoot me John" - just before she was shot dead.
So the killer must have been a man, and he arrested the postman as the lawyer and the accountant were both women.0 -
Wow, it's just like the surgery one then...
Man & his son are out hiking when they have an accident and are both rushed to hospital. The boy is rushed into the operating room where the surgeon says "I cant operate on this boy, he's my son".
How can this be?matched betting: £879.63

I wish I lived in a dual income household!
Fortunately B & Q do a fantastic range of 'B & Q Value' shelves for me to rest upon while I wait for my 'meal ticket' in life!
(NB - Tongue is firmly in my cheek when I refer to a hubby as a 'meal ticket'. I'm almost certainly a good meal ticket myself!)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

No, not in the area we are living - like thousands of other families. Here, even a joint deposit we've saved is a bare minimum.
Would YOU really like to have a "house husband" as a total of your life resume?0 -

Yes, but if everyone only had one salary then the prices would be lower. That was what he was saying.
I'd love to be a stay at home father. If you think giving up your precious time to allow someone else to make money on your "life resume" is important, I think you're mad. There's so many more rewarding, enjoyable and worthy things I could do with my time.0 -

Yes, I got the point but the fact is that there are and there always will be areas with expensive housing and nicer houses which will be out of reach for families with one income. And if we can have two incomes - why shouldn't we?
As for things to do with one's time if one doesn't go to work... I've tried that for three years. And it was really a very enjoyable and rewarding time. I am glad that I allowed myself this experience. But that's not something that you do for the whole life. Children grow up and you have nothing to show for yourself but clean house. I admire the women who are genuinely HAPPY staying at home - well, I am just not one of those women. And I don't think that should be a young girl's life-long aspiration - to become a wife and mother.
And it is plain sexist to put the blame of the crisis on working women - it was men who were in charge of economy and all major decisions which brought the world in the state it is in, while women were simply trying to reclaim their lives and use their brains.0
