It is worse than that.
In order to afford the things that they want, we will see working people ONLY choosing to marry other working people leaving the unemployed to tie up with other unemployed people.
Working couples cannot afford to have (many) children. Unemployed people need children to provide the best meal ticket.

I didn't read the article but I wonder if consideration is made for the spending power of these working women and how that affects the economy...
its slightly relevant that as of Monday gone, for the first time, I am no longer The Major Bread Winner. (hurrah)
If I weren't so frustratingly driven I'd love to drop a couple of clients now and spend a lot more time doing non-work activities. Like some others on this thread, I could happily spend all day occupied in my Phirey world. Just sitting and cuddling The Basset all day for one thing.0 -
