Ooo thanks Cheeky. Would really love to make my garden look fab this year. Lots of work to do though! Have a completely clear day next Saturday so will attempt to dig over the borders etc and get rid of the rubbish then... then I can take a trip to a garden centre! Also need to plant my maple tree I won last year.Life is all about the journey.0 -
If there is one thing that my friends in the inn have taught me it is to never feel guilty for feeling down. Others will always be going through different things, but how you feel matters. I can't imagine being in the amount of pain you're in all the time katie, and I wish you all the love and hugs you need to get you through this time. When do you next see the drs? Have they made a definite diagnosis yet?
Thank you so much - even that has made me cry!!! Lol people are so kind on here you all have your own problems and still have enough time to comfort others and that means a lot.
I am going to the Dr tomorrow - but that is just to get a note for work and i am hoping she will give me some stronger painkillers.
I see the Neurologist and get the results of my lumbar puncture on 10th march so not too long to wait - they think I have something called Transverse Myelitis - the lumbar will confirm or deny that.
Thanks hun xxxxxFriends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
Splodz have you tried the crocus site? I spend a fortune on there for hard-to-find plants, but even if you buy elsewhere, you can put in exactly what you're looking for - eg clay loving ground cover perennial - and get a list of suitable plants. It's one of my favourite sites, I love it, and if you do order from there, the plants are massive, well watered even though it makes them heavier to send, and always in great condition (nothing like those little mail-order plug plants) Worth a look even if it's just to get ideasAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

If I could give you a real hug I would absolutely do that... unfortunately words will have to do! My friends in here really do keep me going sometimes, and I wouldn't be without them.
10th March isn't many days away, I hope the neurologist can confirm then what is wrong with you so they can start helping you to get better properly. Pain killers are all very well, but at least when you and they know for sure you can get proper treatment. Is there anything else that can help the pain that you could do alongside the painkillers? Warm baths, swimming or something herbal perhaps? I guess you've probably tried it all though. xxxLife is all about the journey.0 -

Agree with cheeky, to break the clay up manure, and compost, or dig it out and get some topsoil, not to drastic depends on how big area is, I to would go for hardy geraniums, theres some cool colours now, I got really dark purple last year, they thrive in anythingThanks to all OPs:AThe Real Chris

Campanulas are nice for ground cover too - they'll grow anywhere. Also surprisingly I find most Alpines are fine in clay - you'd think they'd hate it, but I think they have such tiny root systems that it doesn't affect themAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½
