If I could give you a real hug I would absolutely do that... unfortunately words will have to do! My friends in here really do keep me going sometimes, and I wouldn't be without them.
10th March isn't many days away, I hope the neurologist can confirm then what is wrong with you so they can start helping you to get better properly. Pain killers are all very well, but at least when you and they know for sure you can get proper treatment. Is there anything else that can help the pain that you could do alongside the painkillers? Warm baths, swimming or something herbal perhaps? I guess you've probably tried it all though. xxx
Thanks Spolodz
I have been having a lot of warm baths they do ease it for a bit - so its nice for an hour or so afterwards and then it comes back. The thing is I have two seperate problems - the 5 slipped discs and this suspected transverse myelitis. They can't do anything about my discs until they have treated the myelitis as it take priority over the discs - so the sooner that is treated the sooner they can start work on my discs.

I haven't lost anything for a few weeks now Cathy, it doesn't help with the motivation does it?! People keep telling me that staying the same is great though, so I am really trying to be happy with that!Life is all about the journey.0 -

What is Transverse Myelitis KittyKat? I've never heard of it.
Thanks Cheeky Chicken. Foxgloves would look lovely in the colour; such a vibrant colour.
Hey hun - it is an inflammation of the spine - (a virus) which then goes onto attack different parts of the body - the 1st thing to happen (to me) was my whole right side went numb and weak including my face - (like a stroke i guess) then it all moved into my left side - then the last thing to happen to me was that i couldn't feel when i needed to loo and couldn't feel going - but also a numbness and tingling between the legs - they ruled out that this was caused my one of my slipped discs (i had a fall so they thought it may have moved) but an MRi scan confirmed that wasn't the case - so i saw a neurologist who said he thought it was that.
I had never heard of it either - its quite rare only 400 or so sufferers in the uk and 60 - 80% have it for the rest of their lifes - also it could be the 1st sign of an MS attack which is why they did the lumbar puncture.

I think every dieter goes through a stage where they plateau.

I didn't know you could get black poppies and red sunflowers. I will have a look at ebay. Thanks for the tip.
That virus sounds nasty KittyKat. You must be in so much pain. I hope the doctors can sort something out for you.
