  • Just logged online to find an email from eBay saying they have ended one of my items early due to 'spamming' which is ridiculous because there was nothing wrong with it :( It was due to end today & as far as I know eBay only do this if someone reports the item first so obviously someone has it in for me.

This is part of the message

We appreciate that you chose eBay to list the following auction-style listing(s):

However, your listing was in breach of eBay's Circumvention of eBay Fees policy.

You may not manipulate eBay's system in order to avoid paying certain eBay fees. This includes practices such as adding previously unspecified fees after the end of the auction, or charging excessive postage and packaging in order to recoup your listing and Final Value Fees.

Fee avoidance provides a poor buying experience and gives you an unfair advantage over other eBay sellers. You're not permitted to offer other eBay members the opportunity to purchase anything away from eBay via the eBay website. This includes inviting members to 'make you an offer', but not using Best Offer on your listing.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you relist this, or any other item that breaches eBay policy, your eBay privileges could be suspended. We value you as a member of our community and wish to continue this relationship, so we must ask you to refrain from further breaches of the User Agreement and eBay policy.

  • I'll happily PM the link to someone (don't want to put it on here) then you see what's wrong with it cos I'm totally confused! I started it at 99p so have had the 10p insertion fee credited back & if I relist it will be free now but don't know if I should or not, don't want to risk losing my account but I honestly don't know what's wrong.

I don't sell on ebay so no ideas I'm afraid pms... was there a contact on the email? Can you ask them what the problem was? Maybe they've made a mistake?

I am trying out the slow cooker at a much lower capacity: 4 chicken thighs, 1 jar of red wine and herbs ragu, 1 tin of drained butterbeans and 1 tin of ratatouille; I'm going to make my own root veg mash to go with it and I think it'll make 2 generous meals. I had to throw the rest of the game stew out. It was beyond nasty.

Good luck FE - fingers crossed for you. Shame about the game stew though as that sounded yummy (well it did to start with;) ).

Meant to ask you - I know you do the Health quiz on Pigsback but just wanted to make sure you weren't missing out on all the other quizzes on there. OH won 2,000 on the travel quiz this week :j - he will be ordering Amazon vouchers 'cos I told him too....:D

Oh well, it's now gone 10.00 so I shall have to resume clearing DD2s bedroom - not quite sure now where I'm going to put anything else now - am hoping there's still room in loft but think I may be a bit optimistic.....:o

(((Cathy))) - hope your depression/grey cloud lifts soon - I hate feeling like that but have no energy to do anything about it at the time itms. Have a 'kind to yourself' day and maybe things will look more positive. Looks like it's going to be a nice day today - that always helps a bit.

  • Just waiting for DH to get up so he can take a look at it, hoping the other few items that still have bids on (£10.xx at the moment!!!!) still stay on because I need the money.
