What versions of FF do you have on each puter? my guess is that you have an older version on your old comp and the new version on your new lappy. if you google for snaplinks for FF vers 3.0.7 you should find some help there, you actually need snaplinks vers 0.05 but I have googled for that link so I can't guarantee the site :D

If thats the link from the Andrew Sherman Blog then that's the one I used when I couldn't get any to work with mine..;)

Yeah it is Josie, I don't use SL myself as my pc is too slow, on it's very last legs in fact, so I wanted to cover myself by saying I couldn't guarantee the link lol ;)

many thanks for the advice nicky... my old and new lappy are running just the same (latest) version of ff, which is why i was so baffled i couldn't find a snap links version that works - i haven't knowingly updated snap links on my old lappy since the first install (maybe 8 months ago), but it has kept working while my versions of ff have been upgraded. tried the link you suggested but i just get an install error. ah well, will keep digging, persevering and installing dodgy looking extensions in the hope that they work! ;)
started comping may 2008 - what a great community! bless all the op's! :T :T
