Ours needs doing too but it's OHs birthday and I think it's mean to make him do it today.
Tomorrow is another day though0 -
well the grass didnt get cut - time with kids took priority
feeling wierd today - mondays are usually stressful but am still in jamies....suppose that doesnt affect the job hunt!
need to rethink a few things - we currently put all petrol & food on reward CC & pay it off on payday - which is fine when you have regular payday
so, while we in £££ limbo, need to find some cash for May top ups, freezer is jam packed so should last a while
plans for the day- shower
- phone standard life to suspend £50 DD
- email about job in paper
- review CV
- lunch with bestest friend - she bringing dessert
- hoover & tidy round living room
- clear up in kitchen
- start the climb up the ironig mountain

yesterdays list...
- shower
- phone standard life to suspend £50 DD
- email about job in paper
- review CV
- lunch with bestest friend - she bringing dessert
- hoover & tidy round living room
- clear up in kitchen
- start the climb up the ironig mountain
number 4 causing me dizziness - trying to reduce it to 2 pages (which is one of the things I've been told) is proving impossible
without number 4 complete, can't so number 3!!
Anyway, today!
so far. been to job centre & met yet another nice person (was beginning to think they didnt exist except on tinterweb) been to solicitor who has said he can'r advise me to sign comproise agreement as it not in my interest & ex-employers didnt follow own policy - fingers are crossed for increased payout, but think it unlikely
made appoitnment to move my savings accounts from ex-employer to competitor & told agency I registered with 18 months ago that I'm now freeeee to work
so a fairly productive morning
CV& Job applications now...then I think I can feel a cat nap coming on...assuming the cat agrees!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
cat nap became a full blown snore session, hadn't realise how tired I was, so am not going to give myself a hard time
My first job application has been submitted:eek:. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much as I expect I will make a number of applications before I even get an interview. i suppose its all good practice - breaking out of Financial Services after 15 years may not be easy!
almost managed NSD, but had to get cards for safe arrival of baby - I must have been a card snob before....but found nice ones in Car Warehouse - £1.18 for the 2!!!!
tomorrow wo't be NSD either as will have to cough up for car park while I go to work & be supervised while retreiving my personal info from my user account - that will be fun!
will also need bread for OH lunch but that won't cost me loads
must get off *rse and tackle the ironing mountain........I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
seriously kicking myself now
having submitted online application for job, was re-reading the blurb I'd written in word & spellchecked...then copied into application......have made 2 grammatical errors - F**K F**K F**K
Think I've just blown that one out of the waterI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Ok, don't panic.
Firstly, if my work is anything to go by, grammar isn't as important as it used to be. It makes me sad, but it's true. When a Project Manager lols at you by email, you feel that the end of the world is nigh, I swear to God.
Anyhoo, take it as a lesson learned and move on, no point in cursing yourself. Your next application will be all-singing, all-dancing and lovely.
I absolve your of your grammar sins, now go and have some medicinal cake.0 -
you have a point - our Sales Managers were awful...even my redundancy letter has the wrong 'your'!
yumyum, chocolate cake being consumedI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Think today will be fairly gentle with stressy end when I go to work & retrieve personal stuff from user account.
Have made cornflake cakes so have something yum as a reward for getting through it with my dignity
got one job application to submit & might list a few bits on eBay to end Bank Holiday Monday
then its the ironing mountain
all in all, I don't think I've done too badly - was still in work this time last week, now my CV is concise & reduced to 2 pages, one job application has ben submitted, a second will be done by end of today
& today & tomorrow is job paper day!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0
