Hate to say it but I tend to play feeble female when it comes to putting stuff in the loft.....sounds like it'll have to be a midnight bin run!!
I've just realised - I've had one of them NoSpendDays! maybe things are starting to get better!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Final add on of the evening....assuming I can put the computer down!
Jobs for the next week....
Saturday - work, but need to iron uniform first - can leave that to the morning (bad girl)
meal plan & shopping list, do shopping on way home from work without OH, should save me a tenner at least!
Sunday Monday - painting living room - using up paint from shed - moneysaving & decluttering all in one!
Tuesday - new carpet going into living room (hence the painiting, bonus paid for it & current one desperately needed replacing so am trying not to feel too guilty)
Wednesday - finshing off living room, eBay/bin any stuff no longer wanted,
Thursday - washing hokey cokey (love that phrase) fingers are crossed for decent weather
Friday - ideal home exhibition - Mums birthday pres so lunch on me
Saturday & Sunday....CHILLLLLLLLLL
Doesn't seem enough....might have to break the lists down further so it feels like I get more done.....
Have a good weekend

House is complete TIP, it always happens when I decorate!
plans for today phone carpet fitter, see if they can come Wednesday instead of tomorrow
slap more paint on walls than on me
Washing etc...line drying, mmmmm, almost makes the ironing bearable
undercoat on replacement skirting board
may have to pop next door for cuppa - all in the interest of staying sane - am such a rubbish painter I get very down hearted very quickly
ought to stay away from the computer too.....but a girls got to have a break.....every hour!!!
might pay some bills later, then thats done for another monthI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Forgot to say - used my time at work on Saturday very wisely - did a mental run through of the cupboards, meal planned around speed (can't be doing with cooking much while painting) & armed with shopping list visited Mr T on the way home.....a weeks shopping for less than £20?!?!?!?!?!
am sure I've missed something, but it really can't be important so will wait for next week, in the meantime - whoohoo!!! maybe I do stand a chance of coming in under budget again!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
bit of a set back yesterday
paid the bills etc, felt quite proud of myslef following under budget on grocery shop, cheap week @ Mr T....happy days i thought
Then I realised i'd made a mistake on my spreadsheet & was £150 short!
So minor meltdown followed.....lesson learnt though - must check spreadsheets better.
Anyway, today is another day! Decision made to raid the car maintenance account to make up the shortfall & pay that back @ £30 a month until August - should still be enough there to cover service & tax costs...just!
Sold another book on GM so will WALK to Post Office with that shortly, fresh air will be welcome as I think I'm getting high on paint fumes !
Went through a pile of CDs that I've trying to flog to Music Magpie for the last 6 weeks - they kept saying thanks but no thanks - all 8 sold, only £2.25, but its space, clutter & am looking after pennies so £s look after themselves!
Am considering changing bank accounts for the quidco & A&L payout, should probably check out the small print - bet theres loads of it!

having just recovered from my miscalculation that left me £150 short, I now need dental work & its probably going to be about £450!!!!
HSA will cover £100 of that but it its still a nasty bill.
I could put it on the 0% card or out of the Bank of M&D account, but wither way it does mean that won't get under the £4k figure as soon as I'd hoped.
(am ignoring the other part of it - two appointments, one of 45 minutes.......going to need a lot of chocolate to get me there)
hey ho, these things happen, onwards & upwards......I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Hi - I'm a rubbish housekeeper too so I know how you feel.
Commiserations on the dentists bill.

on the plus side, its got me a few hours off work....I reaaly OUGHT to be ironing......but can't find any oomph for that, so off to my mates for a cuppa....housework can wait to the evening, chatting during work time, now thats a treat that should never be put off
am reassured how many people also hate housework......is there a club I can join??I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Just wanted to wish you Good Luck with your DF journey :TWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
