What is going on - have just had ANOTHER culinary success, watch out Nigella!!

Todays nom-tastic meal, pasta in rustic sauce...very easy, portion for freezer which will be shared between us with crusty bread to stretch it a bit more

Have been collecting recipes out of magazines for ages but have only just started having small successes...baby steps eh?!

link it?! like I'd know how to do that....although F_F usually comes to my rescue with techno issues.......

When you start the new diary take a note of the URL (web address, at the top of the page) by highlighting it then copying the text.

Post on here with some witty phrase like "Look, a new diary"

Highlight the witty text and click on the button beside the fonts and colours etc which looks like a tiny globe with a paperclip on it. Paste in the URL from your new diary and press OK. This should mean that you have a fancy-pants like, like this one: (Clicky!) I've just randomly linked to the PAD thread as an example.

Now I'm REALLY flattered, F-F wanting my recipe!!!

oil in pan, chuck in chopped onion & garlic
    put pasta on
mush up sausagemeat & chuck in with onion
when sausagemeat brown add chopped toms & wine/brandy/chicken stock & pepper
    simmer that for 10 minutes
then add to cooked pasta & scoff

might add sweetcorn or peas next time, squeeze in some healthly bits

    Good evening folks!

Well I have survived 2 days of my new job & am completely exhausted!!!!
I'd forgotten how tiring working with your brain can be! The people are friendly which is always a plus & the general atmosphere is good, relaxed yet busy.
Its been all talks so far which is quite a lot to take on, but some bits are getting through & I think it will fall into place eventually.
annoyingly though, both yesterday & today have been spend days.....albeit it small ones - had to buy mug for my tea yesterday, today we needed bread....really should work on convincing his nibs that frozen bread tastes just as good as fresh.
we are sharing transport for work - he drops me off, leaving me with a little walk - not yet sorted proper pick up point though, yesterday I walked about a mile before he left work, tonight I just walked home!

Got few jobs to do tonight, but don't have the energy.......could do with a few days off!!!:D

& another NSD ruined....decided that it was time Mr Lurker ventured back into the kitchen...which meant he wanted something OTHER than what was in the freezer....and of course he had no cash on him so I was stuck with it....GRRR

I'm tempted to give up on this month as one way & another have got through SHEDloads of money ...all needed items & good prices...but still feels bad!

I am also the proud owner of 2 P45s...one from exemployer, one from Job Centre...don't think that should happen so methinks that could cause problems!!

didn't mention the Saturday weigh in...cos I gained?!?! how I do NOT know, but this week has seen the restart of boring breakfast, salad lunches, lots of water & pedometer has been on - over 11000 steps yesterday, 4000 today so if I don't lose this week I will SCREAM

really must avoid the vending machine for at least week 1.......

Hi smartie - thanks for sticking with it...
am hoping that 2010 will see the mummy dream materialise....once I've been in joblong enough for them to want me back part time of course!!

so....the first week at work is over & I gte to have a real weekend!!

avoided the vending machine & canteen :j
used stairs everyday...thats no huge acheivement, we only on the first floor....but seen lots of people using the lift

    managed 2 NSD...

keep trying to get tax code adjusted but each time I call they want extra info...so am going to ignore that until I've actually been paid at the end of the month (which is 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting)

have drunk at least 1 & half litres of water everyday, had healthy breakfasts & salad for lunch, nibbles have been fruit so i OUGHT to see the numbers fall on the scales tomorrow morning.......we'll see!

time to update spreadsheets before tea..
