now have nowhere to put hairdryer or straighteners, figured there must be something to hold both that can be attched to wall.......until I find it, am a bit stuck
How about putting a nail in the wall and putting them in one of the cloth bags you can buy from most retailers now? M&S and Boots do nice ones, and Accessorize have some lovely ones at 70% off now.

oooh you are encouragign me to spend...i like it!!!

The straighteners are the problem - wherever they sit/hang its needs to be heat proof while they cool down...

been feeling a bit wierd the last couple of days, achy & now have stuffy head - could be adjusting to pill, or scary thoughts - swine flu!!! (not that I'm a drama queen or anything)

cavity wall & loft insulation peoples come tomorrow so got to take everything off walls - apparently it causes a lot of dust - eekkk, why did I start the srping clean beforehand????

well I'm sat here waiting for the loft & wall insulation people and am bored!

theres not much point trying to clean if its goin got make a mess so am twiddling thumbs

have gone through freezer - loads of food in there to eat which should mean its a cheap week for shopping...but I have money off vouchers that expire on Sunday.........seems completely wrong not to use them! dilemmas, dilemmas!

WILL start the ironing shortly, need to eat but don't know what to have.....something from the freezer would be a good place to start!

I now have a well insulated house.....no doubt I'll be whinging soon if it gets hot that the place is toooo stuffy!!

took the opportunity to hve a nosey through the recipe collection - ones I've taken out of magazines over the years & never got around to trying out - & have a meal plan sorted

Saturday - Roast chicken & chips
Sunday - fry-up brunch, BBQ tea
    Monday - Fajitas
    Tuesday - Sausage Pasta
    Wednesday - Salad
    Thursday - Mediteranean Chicken
    Friday - Sausage & Mash

my plan is to make chicken soup on Sunday using the carcass, & that will be my lunches for the week - hopefully it can be frozen??

Only need salad & big chippable potatoes to make this happen...plus lunches for his nibs

Somehow I bet I spend loads still!

I freeze chicken soup all the time and it's fine. I normally use broth mix with mine to make it thicker - makes it last longer as you can water it down for ages :rotfl:

Thank F_F, will give it a bash !

actually getting a little into this cooking lark....can now follow recipe & the food is edible!!! go back a few years & that wouldnt have happened

Tis amazing what a little time can do to change things - that and a desire to reduce convenience food intake & waste output!!

really need to addres portion control next though - I've got to do something else about the extra half stone I've gained since April!

am back on the 2 litres of water a day now (since yesterday) so should find by NEXT weeks weigh in thats started to take effect, will settle for this weeks being a stay the same!

    Well I failed & spent £46!!!!!
In my defence, the extra was spent to
    a) use vouchers from daily mail
    b) get whoopsied meat to spend enough & use daily mail vouchers!

plus, with my MSE & lose weight head on, I split the meat into smaller pack than normal & worked out that when I make a lasange the meat will have cost £1.25 & that will be 3 meals for us - normally would use double the meat, but thats not necessary, just greedy

so new challenge is for the rest of the month to be fruit n veg tops ups only - easily do-able

its very strange to think that this time next week I'll be at work! went out yesterday & bought some work clothes which is a bit naughty - i blame the not having to wear uniform for the first time in 20 years!!

making soup this afternoon while ironing & pottering about finding more stuff for car boot - fingers are crossed that the weather will be ok
