I hardly recognise myself with all this cooking malarky!!

A similar epiphany is happening at Fresian Towers - I made a fritatta last night. Six months ago I wouldn't have known what that was :rotfl:

well, today will be the first NSD of the month - not looking promising to hit the 15 target! but will keep trying

today will be spent pottering about at the housework resisting the urge to make cakes.....not good for the diet, sorry, I mean healthy eating plan!!
Might also start sorting some bits out for holiday, but that could wait until after the weekend, should really be concentrating on the car boot stuff!

hi lurker - if you've been stuck in boring uniform for 20 years I figure you deserve some lovely new work clothes. Hope you make the most of your last few days of freedom!

so here it is, the last day of my enforced holiday. to say it feels strange is an understatement!!
not sure that I've achieved much, but theres no doubt I'm much more chilled than I was, possible more so than I ever thought I could be.

the majority of the hush money has gone , but - I have nothing on my credit cards, bankof mum & dad can be repaid once regular saver matures, the house has been insulated (& is now very stuffy) so it could be worse. I also have new spreadsheets (OCD kicking in there) & can get online valuation of ISA whenever I want - its now worth more than I have paid in which is a huge relief - little things that I've thought about doing but never got around to...don't want that to be the motto any more

The hard part is going to be managing on lower salary without any overtime being available, but with the new found near-ability to cook I am catiously optimistic

Today is NSD 2, tomorrow will be a small shop & Sunday should make NSD if I can stop myself from wandering about the car boot sale as a buyer! am selling, selling selling....if i repeat that enough times it should sink in

need to clean bathroom & cloakroom, my least favourite jobs, & hoover stairs & landing, then I can look in cupboards for more carp, sorry meant treasurers for Sunday

In all honesty (cos I can be honest here, no need for the brave face)? Am TERRIFIED - its so new, not just the employer but the area....everytime I've changed jobs before it always been different bank or building society so I've had background knowledge to get me through. This time I know nothing...which for control freak is not good

hey ho, maybe I should start new diary (with better title, cos this one is dullsville) on Monday....new job, new diary.......

link it?! like I'd know how to do that....although F_F usually comes to my rescue with techno issues.......

No, for now I'll stick to dullsville title, suits me really...what I'd really like to change is user name...not really just lurking now!!

stairs & landing hoovered, have discovered the front door is leaking, whoopee, hopefully his nibs can fix that, bread maker on & I've just detroyed a stale loaf & made huge tub of breadcrumbs...not that I actually know what to do with them...old styleees here I come!
