  • Just a quick comment about Dentalworks, i used to go there and yes they are nice but i left because i always felt the dentist was trying to sell me private treatment instead of nhs treatment. When I was due to have a number of crowns they were reluctant to discuss how much a nhs crown would be. I have since signed up with the dentist in stantonbury who is currently accepting nhs patients.

Bletchley area - there are some strange lights in the sky - I suspect it's a laser light show being reflected from the clouds, but not sure. Did anyone else see it?
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

That's interesting; I was considering Dentalworks until I read this; I was at Stantonbury dentists for years until mine left to go private. How do you find the dentists at Stantonbury? Are they good with nervous patients?

Can anyone recommend a bathroom fitter? (someone who won't insist that I buy my stuff through them).

I've previously recommended someone on here but I'm looking for quotes for my cloakroom and would like to get several people in to quote for the job.

Can anyone suggest someone they've used or know?

Cheers guys. I ended up joining the one in Wolverton because I was told they're quite good with nervous paitents. Got an appointment on Tuesday. Absolutely bricking it!!!

Don't suppose anyone knows where I can look for renting a garage in Milton Keynes? It only needs to be able to store a mini in so doesn't need to be big. Would very rarely need access too. Closer to Bradwell Common the better but I don't mind travelling further afield.

    Thanks all :)

Hastings Maintenance did ours. They're a husband-and-wife team, don't fleece you, and clean up after themselves.

Gaz - come back with a review, assuming you've been fine today! I really need to book myself an appt and am still deliberating!

Lamewolf - ty for the recommendation, I will give them a ring!

ETA: I rang Hastings Maintenance - they no longer exist and have given up the business. Oh well, more recommendations sought!

 Oh booger! I guess we'd better find someone else to service our boiler when the time comes then..... So I'll be looking for recommendations for that, if anyone has any!

    Thanks for the heads-up, indiegirl.

Decent local builder in the Newport Pagnell area?

    A small external rendering job.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks for the heads-up, indiegirl.

we got our boiler serviced and all our radiators flushed last week by a company called mk powerflushing. heating now like new and very friendly people (good price too).

i have a leaflet somewhere with their details....if you can't find their number/website post back on here and i'll hunt it out.

    hope this helps
