Despite being told we can't have aerials in the past, lots of people have them now! We can receive Freeview here in Milton KEynes, although the signal isn't very strong, if you use a signal booster, you can get most if not all of the chanels. I have also found the newer TV's with built in freeview seem to work better than the cheaper freeview boxes!

Unfortunately you can't get Hallmark on Freeview. So I am still paying for my cable too! (I know I too honest, lol:rotfl:)

I am buying a new car and would like to find a reliable and trust worthy mechanic for all of my non dealership niggles.

I will be going back to my dealership to maintain my FSH however things like brakes/MOT etc etc i would like to get down by an independant to save costs.

    Any recommendations?

Arden motors in Wolverton. It was a recommendation on an earlier MK thread by a couple of MSE'ers - and I agree they are honest and reasonable.

Time to give the thread a little oompf again.

Can anyone recommend a mobile disco / DJ for hire?? Redbedhead (ages ago) recommended DJPete, but I've requested a quote from him and heard nothing.

Anyone else know of a good DJ?

I used web-blinds for a metallic blind in my kitchen, which is part of Hillarys but cheaper. They sent out lots of samples free and were quick to make the made to measure blind. I think it cost me about £36 for a very stylish venetian blind.

Just to mention that Millets in the centre is closing down and is selling off all stock. I got a couple of bargains (Sat and today) - O'Neill men's board shorts for £9.95 instead of £39.95 and Billabong men's slippers for £7.50 instead of £15. There's not much left now but still bargains to be had.
