Cheapest PAYG mobile discussion

I'm PAYG. Been with Virgin since I first went down that road and to be honest see no reason to change. I'd hardly spend £5 month on out calls; most are incoming.

One thing confuses me with mobiles though - why do people want or feel the need to change from one model to another. From where I stand it's a means of communication not a fashion statement (I agree for some silly people it is a fashion statement), but if you're into saving money you shouldn't be led up the garden path that easily.

Surely a mobile is a mobile is a mobile. I'll conceed that a built in digital camera could have some uses but I'd much rather have the real thing.

I can only find it on their website for £60 on Virgin.  Have you seen it in store?

I notice that the Carphone Warehouse have recently reduced their PAYG 'Fresh' call charges to 15ppm (texts to 5p) any network/any time. And free sims to-boot! This seems a very good deal: much better than its previous one.
