just plugged the unit in to the end of an already existing ADSL modem. setup the wireless PCMCIA card, and it works a treat as a router. Could have gone for the belkin on special at PC-World, but prefer the linksys gear. Thanks for pointing out the bargin. Price gone back up, wonder if they lower it again for those that missed out.0

Does anyone else have problems with reception? Mine is appalling ... infact the wirelss facility is just about inoperable. If the laptop is RIGHT next to the router I can just about get a weak reception .... then it dies. I've had to connect with the ethernet cable .... no wireless for me!?!
I followed all the wireless card intallation procedures and there are no other electricals nearby which can cause interference....0 -

Yeah, mine isn't all that either. I bought one just after new years, the last time they had this offer on.
My old BT 11b router was much much better than this Linksys 54g router.
I think I might Ebay mine and go for a Netgear one instead.0 -

I had the same problem until I changed the encryption to wep rather than wpa, I also changed the channel to 6 from 11 at the same time so not sure which worked but wireless is now great.0 -
Price now up AGAIN to £59.99. So glad I got one in time.0

Thanks for your comments ... knowing that others have had problems ... I went back to Linksys for help and they got me to change the channel (and a few other 'tweaks') Anyhow - it may not be as fast as greased lightning .... but it is working :T :T :T
Thanks DB1230
