I know your all going to be thinking 'what s she moaning about not having a job and not going to an interview'. The reason is I knew i wouldnt get it. At all. The role needed advanced experience in Dreamweaver and i have NO knowledge of it at all. So it would be like apply for a job as a lorry driver and not having a driving license. Please dont be mad!! I just couldnt take the rejection.

Im sitting here applying for more jobs. Its so tedious. For my second interview Friday (WHICH I AM DETERMINED TO GET!!! SO HELP ME GOD I WILL GET THIS JOB EVEN IF I HAVE TO BREAK THE OTHER CANDIDATES LEGS TO GET IT!!!)
my friend from my old job are sending me all examples of my work to show them. So hopefully i will be able to wow them. :A :A (*gets down on hands and knees to pray*

I know what the interviews about to im going to spend wed and thurs all day practicing. No eating/ drinking of any sort to distract me:D

OK have to also confess. because i felt poo ive eaten a packet of jaffa cakes this morning.....

*quietly shuts down the laptop before the other ladies can shout at me...*

Don't be hard on yourself, you know what's best for you - and there is no point in suffering more rejection if you don't need to!

Good luck for Friday - and stay away from the Jaffa cakes :rotfl:

Hi Blondie - you did the right thing - Dreamweaver is an extremely complicated piece of software (I am learning it - takes ages) and you did right - it would have been awful trying to "wing it" - sometimes you can, but not with Dreamweaver. You do right not to grasp at any job at all - what's the point, as you will be spending all day doing something, so it needs to be right. I hope that makes you feel better. I have been learning Dreamweaver for months and still don't think I would feel confident putting it down as something I can do. Hope you have a good day . Re Jaffa cakes - footballers eat them so they can't be all that bad for you! :) RR

Hey Blondie - I agree you definately did the right thing! I have no idea what Dreamweaver is - but it sounds v cool;)

And Jaffa cakes are practically health food right? Only 1 gram of fat (or whatever the advert says) and orange??? One of your five a day if you eat the whole packet!:T

I think you did the right thing, and didn't waste your time or theirs and left it free for someone else who knows what they're doing!
Don't worry- the right job for you will come along soon. Hugs

  • Tilly that smiley is so funny. I refuse to turn the heating on when Sparky's not here. I sit in bed with about 20 jumpers on!!

Rosered - Thats what i thought. I googled Dreamweaver for idiots and looked at one video on YouTube and thought NO WAY!!!

Laura - I totally agree - it is an orgy smiley. With all those little hands everywhere who knows who is 'hugging' who, eh???:rotfl:

Thanks for making me feel better about it. I seriously might have jumped in front of a train if i had any more rejection. Cant face it.

Ohhh i needed to update you, me and Sparky had a very nice night last night. Much better. Let me just say the sofa wasnt just for sitting on.....:T :T :T Hes coming to poker with me later tonight. My friend is picking me up at half six and we are having dinner in the pub first. (might be tempted to have sausage and mash...*dribble* - hey, ive ruined my diet for today, so if im gonna be bad i might as well be VERY BAD!!.)

Need your advice about my post yesterday, he job i was really excited about, and was the front runner for, im STILL waiting to hear the updated job spec....my recruitment agent left the company last week  and so its been passed to someone else, who frankly cant give a flying sausage about the job as he wont get the commission for it!! what do i do?????

    Hugs / kisses / jaffa cakes and / 3somes...LOL

(ohhh did you notice i might have had jaffa cakes BUT IVE HAD NO QUAVERS EH?? EHH??? LOL)

I would ask to talk to his manager, because he may not care but I'm damn sure that his boss will care about whether the company gets the commission (which is not peanuts, usually around 10% of what your yearly salary is) Failing that, get a new agency.

Or go round and boot him up the ar*e.
