catherine - sorry about your worrying news dude. Is the person who told you this a reliable source??
She is yeah. Probably the most reliable person there! And she got told by a manager.
I'm now torn between being upset about the news or happy about how nice those cupcakes look! Wow!!0 -

MNI Catherine: [Ahh I just had bad news
somebody I work with has told me that 70% of us are being made redundant. I thought it would be less than that.
There's me and 2 other people that share 1 job and the other 2 are more trained than me!! So it isn't looking good for meplus I will get no redundancy pay as I've only been there a year!
I've got about 2 months til everything closes but apparently there are no jobs going in my area as a girl I know was made redundant 5 weeks ago and hasn't even had an interview! Oh noooo]
Hi MNI Catherine. Sorry to hear that. I have been unemployed for 2 months now (feels like longer). Just in case you do lose your job, why not cut your spending right down now, and save every penny you can now. Also you could sell some stuff on Ebay and Amazon. I wish I had done this before I lost my job - I didn't see it coming at all, and I had no money put aside - even a few pounds a week can make all the difference when you take a big cut in income. As for JSA - it only covered my council tax and electricity - nothing else. RR0 -
Is this working? Example of some of my cupcakes
Hi Tilly! These cakes are just incredible - so beautiful and I can imagine them going down brilliantly at posh parties, weddings, christenings etc. Its nice to see your photo also! Another lovely blonde waiflet0 -
 Hi people. yes, its 5.46 in the morning.
I was woken up by a mosquito in the bedroom. Can I just repeat that: A mosquito in the bedroom, in the North of England, in an unheated house in March! Please, what is going on?? I had to kill it, because when they bite younghusband he has a bad reaction, Now there is a patch of blood on my clean white wall, and a big lump on my nose where it has bitten me. :huh:0 -

Eeek, feeling worried in my unheated North of England house now, I hate mozzies! How random though?! Have you bought any bananas recently? My friend worked at tescos as a student and hated unpacking bananas as they always had spiders/flies/bugs in them
Sorry to hear the job news Catherine, it is so scary how many people are losing their jobs at the mo - my work is losing 6 more people, after losing 20 last year. It's not my department thankfully, and my boss has told me I'm secure, but it does create such a horrible atmosphere - everyone is just so worried and tense and unhappy
Tilly, did you know that's you're my new best friend? :heartsmil Please post cupcakes to number 6, .......:rotfl: Ha ha. I want a cupcake for breakfast now, arrrggh!0 -
Morning all!
Yummy cupcakes!!
You are all soooo pretty!!! You have inspired me tho... will post a pic of me later (still not allowed to post one of Daisy)
DH had his first day back to work on Monday to be given his notice!! He has four weeks. He has decided to go self employed and go out on his own (he's a carpenter/general builder) so we've had fun and games thinking of a name and I've got to phone around a few places later to get some prices to get leaflets printed. Then I think me and Daisy will be leaflet dropping!
I'm not going to worry about it cos it doesnt change anything just gets me stressed and worried and ill and dont need that with a baby..... At least he's got 4 weeks to get everything ready. Quite luckily cos I work for an accountants so I know a few people who's brains I can pick, and if the worst came to the worst I could go back to work early nnnoooooooo!!
Have a good day all xx0
