    Just found a bill and its got M

    We did use to have XL can't say it made much difference though. Do I need to upgrade the broadband?

    They should have sent you an email to let you know but it wouldn't hurt to give them a ring - dial 151 from a Virgin phone or 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line.

    edit - oh and those speed test results are about right for your package... for now!

    Hi, I was just looking at the site and couldn't see the M package I rang them before I seen your last message and they are currently closed at this time.

    So it isn't worth ringing and upgrading because it will be done anyway?

    Edit: so nothing will speed it up until its upgraded?

    It looks like it will happen automatically from May. If you ring up in the meantime they'll probably try and get you to upgrade by paying more.

    If you think you should be getting 4MB at the moment I would ring them up anyway and have a whinge that you're only seeing a download speed of 2MB. ;)

    You are currently on a 2Mbit service this will be upgraded in the coming months to 10Mbit.
