If an out of date promotional poster is displayed as well as a SEL with its current price, can R+R be applied?

technically the R&R policy states "on the shelf" but if you are lucky then you might get an R&R.

I thought that was the purpose of the exercise...to get tesco to get the advertising right...ie, if an offer isnt on dont advertise it..so surely it is good??

I understand that the offer is still on according to the SEL it runs until the 7th March according to my local CS.

Quick question if there are two labels, one correct and one incorrect, ie out of date, does R7R still count in your opinion spa2k or anyone please?

fact is these people shouldnt be on a cs desk full stop they have no idea of what customer service means! i cant believe how people get treated when they spend hard earned money with tescos bonus freebies or not! i dont walk out and leave a trolley full of shopping because there is nothing free in it,my sole aim is not to wander around there stores! getting something for nothing!i shop there everyweek i expect to be treated with some respect, the problem is if your a unknowing customer then they will (90% of the time) offer you the difference, even with the policy right behind them,(i know!)so the store isnt even following the policy regardless of you getting it knowing your going to be overcharged or not.so tesco offer this policy but try everything possible to wriggle out of it,and then get heavy handed when you stand your ground, this is not customer service,it is bullying!

At last our gripes have been put into English. How true, Tallica.

Is it a good idea to snap a picture of two of the SEL with a camera phone so if they ever remove the SEL you can prove it was there.

Sorry. T says that's not allowed as it exposes his guilt.

R&R does still stand. The product is not being sold at the lowest advertised price.

So even though the correct price is displayed, the customer could make their purchasing decision based on the fact that the lower price is showing.

When precisely did Tesco say this then robert? And do you have an acknowledgement of precisely who said it - i am particularly interested in knowing who within Tesco said it exposes their guilt.

  • I don't see theres any guilt here. It exposes you had a suspicion that you might be charged the wrong price.

Now people adding their own sel, or looking for old ones (turned over or behind the edging)... now i bet theres a problem... mrs by the liquidiser it's you i'm talking about.
