Lol...I think I do remember you, quite an unusual username. You are more creative than me.
I rarely go on RT either these days. I still have loads of jewellery to sell, but got fed up with it costing more in fees, etc than I actualy made.
funnily enought though I was on RT on Friday night...my son had a 16th birthday party (he called it a gathering...I beg to differ) and I found myself shut away upstairs with just a laptop for company whilst the music boomed out below. Worse than that though, there was singing too...and not the sort you pay to hear, they were playing LIPS on xbox360 a sort of karoke thing.... I went on RT for some company to while away my Friday and keep my sanity.
How are you these days? I can tell you are a regular on here by your post count
Lovely to speak to an old friend from the Ebay chat boards...small world isnt it

Oh you should have joined in with the kids, I would have been right there singing my heart out ~ then again, I embarrass my kids and you don't :rotfl:
I've been reigistered on here for years but only started using it regularly since the middle of 2006, that's when I stopped posting regularly on the eBay boards. I got sick of all the oddbods who would make user names up of our proper names, addresses & phone numbers ~ there were serious nutcases on there!
I'm fine though, I'm pregnant and due in May. My 2 are 12 (he's 13 the day after babies due date, eeek!) and my daughter is 11, can't believe the huge age gap and I'm dreading going through it all again because I can't remember anything! :rotfl:
Take care J and get stuck into this site - I've met so many lovely people and saved so much money - it's so addictive once you get used to it!

Congratulations  ...a New baby, how exciting. I would have loved more children myself but my bank manager refused..lol
You will find the older 2 will be a godsend, helping you look after the new arrival.
My 16 year old asked me if he could have a baby sister the other day (his friend has a 10 month old sister) I told him that Littlewoods were all out of babys at the moment and how about a doll that wees itself instead....it didnt go down well....:o
My 3 are now getting so old...daughter was a little one when I joined RT...she is coming up for 14 (May 18th) and my son was 16 last week, eldest will be 20 in September...(hes just a year younger than me then...lol)
I dont remember the username saga, I may have left before it happened. Do you remember Pony? The ones I kept in touch with for a while were Wends and Jen...but I rarely hear from either of them. They were a great comfort to me and supported me emotionally when my dad was dying and again when he passed away. I miss all of them now...I wonder where they all are?
This looks a very friendly troll free place. Lots of good advice, so I will stay a while and get to know everyone.
I am off to the shop now

Patentgirl have a kind word tell him you want £300-£500 (start at £500
) per month board and lodging and that you are going to put it into a isa (someone may recommend something better) for a mortgage for him.
Also that half of his overtime and pay increases will be out into the isa too. if the isa reaches its limit open one under you husbands name.
Sounds good but can you come round and tell him for me! at the moment he pays no where near thatFrugal challenge 2025

You may find that any temporary increase in premium after the accident could drop a little once this is registered as a "no fault" claim.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I moved out at 16 and my bloke was 22 (who is now my husband to be). We are currently renting our flat out so we are back at my mam's house but its only for 6months. We got into alot of debt with being so young and naive and we are just coming to the end of paying it all off. Im now 21 and he is 28 so it's a bit of an odd situation to be at my mam's but she would rather have us their and help us pay off our debt by renting our flat out. It is hard now, we want to buy somewhere bigger but we just can't seem to sell or flat and I don't think we would be offered another mortgage0

The £2000+ figure was for his insurance prior to his accident...I dread to think what it will be when it comes up for renewal in Sept 2009
The things he had against him
New driver (aged exactly 19...it was his birthday we took the insurance out on)
Male - men get worse deals
Newish car
After he did the Pass pluss course we received a refund of £250
But it wasnt the worst quote we received. One from the CO-OP was £3400!
I think they are basicaly saying they dont want young male drivers to take out their insurance because they are too high a risk, to be honest I think they may have a point. Of all his friends, none of the females have had accidents but 4 out of 6 of the males have written of their cars!Week one (4th March) - 4 pounds lostTarget - under 9 stone by July 17th 2009Wednesday is weigh in day0 -
I moved out of home at 18 to go to uni, and i would definitely encourage my future kids to do the same, whether it be to go to uni or into a professional houseshare. Although some people can find it scary, I loved it! It teaches you independence and confidence.
It's interesting that a lot of my male friends seem to stay at home longer than my female friends, and some never want to leave!0 -
Completely depends on the kids.
My brother left home at 30 to move in with his girlfriend and even though they have split since, he said hes glad he went.
I left home at 20 to move in with boyfriend and at 21 am looking at buying my first property (would be bought with him).
My other brother is 31 and still lives at home, has all washing / ironing done for him, all meals cooked and dishes done and packed lunch made. He earns a lot as well and has no plans to leave.Green and White Barmy Army!0
