  • I have not sinned yet but I am now starting to get more urges to spend money.
I did very well last month and doing ok this month, but I constantly have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach like I'm going to go mad and spend something.
When i'm out I think I wouldn't mind this and pick it up and then a strange voice which dosn't feel part of me tells me I don't need it, But I am starting to get p***ed off with that voice now. I think i'll crack soon.

My worst moment of madness came during 2nd-4th December 2005 when I got my hands on a 20% discount card for selfridges. Blew just under 2k in there during that period.

Running a very close second is my 300 quid slam man which sits at my mums house half filled with sand and hardly ever touched ^^
  • I totally agree with you Lottie26. And I think it's because it's February and it's a short month pay-wise so you feel like after the Dec/Jan belt tightening you deserve to splurge cos you haven't got to stretch you money so far. But try and remember how it feels when you pay off those debts and get closer to your goal!
    All the best.

Various trips to the pub ive put some money into the slot machine when i was determined not to, but ive barely been out this month so i suppose thats my low point

Best money point of the month was arguing with the dinner lady at where i work for 40p staff discount (i wasnt wearing my id when i ordered, so got put it on when she said i didnt hvae id), some women behind me muttering and said something along the lines of "they want it all" or something like that

I just smiled and went to have me dinner :)

Got very very drunk last week and ended up in a cab which cost me £15 except I have no recollection of where I went in it whatsoever. In addition I lost a bag with some work shoes in (I change when I get there) and ended up coming in with only one shoe on - so 2 pairs in total! So annoyed.

    That's so funny--I needed a laugh today!

A recent lapse...hmmmm...I spent £160 on a second-hand butler sink and ceramic drainer for my kitchen, and not only could I not get taps (anywhere!) to fit in the holes, the blooming sink does not even fit in where I hoped it might, in my tiny cottage kitchen. So I have a very big and useless kitchen sink. Bad impulse buy!

Happy Valentine's, all. Gotta use one of these cute smileys! :heartsmil
