Really sorry, but what was the RESET INTERNET EXPLORER bit???
    1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
    3. Click the Security tab.
    4. Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.

As well as security settings reset you could also try
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Reset Internet Explorer Settings.

Do you get any other error warnings e.g. Dr Watson warnings?

    Sorry back again...
I copied the log from the 'my computer' files, I didnt go into the hijackthis icon which is now on my screen. So when I now go into the icon to delete the file you said to it is asking if I want to do a scan and log file?? From what I can see its the only way to view the log from actually going into hijackthis?? Should I run the file scan again now I am in normal mode as the last time I did it I was in safe mode with networking???
