My Computer Keeps Crashing.....

Well I'm back but didnt get very far!!
Rebooted and kept pressing F8 and an old style DOS screen came up. Following options;
Hard Disk
CD ROM
Can't remember the other one

so I picked Hard Disk and the following options came up

Ch2 M.: ST3160812AS
Bootable Add-in Cards

Didnt have a clue what to do so pressed F9 to EXIT!!!

Any ideas what I should have done??

You shouldnt really do this ~ but it should work
Bootup until you see the XP flag screen
Then cut the power

Power up again and it should (hopefully) bring up the safe mode screen

see if you can download Firefox in normal mode. Go to google type in Firefox click on the link or type it into the address bar if it will crash then download and install it.

Tried that but I keep getting the 'Send' 'Don't send' error messages and it chucks me out everytime, even if I type the address in to the bar

Can you download it on another computer and put it on a usb or a disc?

Sorry to but in, to get into safemode with networking try this..

click start then run
type msconfig then click OK
click on the tab BOOT.INI
now tick /safeboot and then network
now click OK restart your PC

you can complete the instructions that aliEnRIK gave you now.

to reverse the above follow..

click start then run
type msconfig then click OK
click on the tab BOOT.INI
remove tick in /safeboot
click OK and restart

Did you RESET INTERNET EXPLORER as explained above?
if not ~ please do so now

Try Explorer out. If it doesnt work try out Firefox to see if that works

Let me know how it goes
