  • In some areas, Aldi/Lidl have become the suppliers for ebayers. Being there at opening time on a Thursday is the best way of securing the specials.

what size do aldi nappies start at?
  • To try and save myself some time and money of making a 30 mile round trip to see if they had a special deal in, I thought I would ring to get the phone number of my nearest store. I called the head office, who refused to give me the number saying I would have to visit the store and they were cost saving by not giving me the number.
In this day and age, this company is seriously behind the times and has seriously peed me off!!

Thanks for letting me have a rant!:A

My personal opinion is that the UHT milk at Lidl is not something I want to buy ever again - the spout is completely useless, not reclosable, if you take a few days to finish your milk like me

just a point to note if you ever wanted to buy UHT milk from Lidl

The Aldi lids for their UHT milk is ace...they work brilliantly.

    Hope this helps someone...
    THANKS!:happylove

Anyone out there purchased the Gluten Free bread from Aldi. I have tried my two local stores and they haven't a clue what I am talking about. What name does it go under?

Yes I used to buy the bread and it was lovely, but they stopped doing it. I did manage to get a local Health food shop to order it for me. But they had to order it in bulk and they did'nt sell it all, so they wouldn't order it again. When I find out the name again I wil contact you.:T
  • Will the list of products in the article be continuously updated, based on moneysavers' comments in the "What (not) to buy at ..." thread?

[...] HOWEVER. Aldi's diet cloudy lemonade and delicious stem ginger biscuits have disappeared. Is this just a Hull thing? Do we have faith that consumer power would bring them back if enough of us are missing them? Your thoughts appreciated. And suggestions on where to find alternatives.

Strange. The stores in East Anglia have both, biscuits and lemonade.
  • Bump.

I'd really like to know whether and how the list of recommendations in the article will be updated.

    Cheers. :)
  • I buy the Diet Blue Thunder, it's a Red Bull energy drink copy, but is actually very nice. I think it's about £1.59 for 6 cans which is about a third of the price of red bull. You have to hunt for it though as it's usually buried under the full fat stuff.

Yes, I noticed that mouthwash wasn't on the list for Aldi, however, I bought some (green colour)! the other day.
