Unlimited Weekend Calls to Pakistan for £5

  • Can anybody confirm that they have used this bolt on, and calls to 0844 numbers have not been taken out of their credit. As the Orange site says:

    "unlimited.
to Orange phones and landlines. £5.7pm Friday to 7am Monday "

And 0844 numbers are not landlines. If it does work does it include calls to 0800/0808/0845/0870 numbers?

Also if it does work it must allow you to call any of the 0844 numbers and destinations listed in the MSE Call Checker, including the Discount Dial one for x-net mobile calls. So the World is your Oyster. However if you were making only a few calls it could prove to be an expensive way of doing so.
    PF.
  • Can anyone confirm if it works with this access number 0871 999 84 84 or any other numbers starting with 0871? Cheers

When using this unlimited talk system on Orange, it is best to just top up £5 and then call 450 and set up this unlimited service, they send you a text message to confirm, and your £5 gets deducted straight away.
I don't have orange PAYG but have used this service, I can confirm it works with 0844 numbers, I've not tried any other numbers.

I'm not sure if these numbers are part of the bolt on or a glitch in the system, but please DONT phone orange to check this. If you call countries with 0844 access enjoy!

  • I have seen loads of people using this method, all works fine, untill I guess orange change the way 0844 is classed. It doesnt take any extra credit out of your account.

It works... for those who want it in plain english

    This is good news folks!!

Ok, so if you have an Orange PAYG sim card you can now use a company like Discount Dial http://www.discountdial.co.uk 0844 access number 0844 566 35 35 to call not only landlines but UK mobile phones as well for the £5 unlimited weekend charge.

Sounds like this is a really good offer, once again please dont start calling Orange to check things or they will get wind of the error if it is one.
  • Do Orange charge a £1 on top of the £5 top up (=£6???)

Is the £1 you refer to, the cost of the sim? If so then the sim will have a balance/Credit of £1 when you register it so it costs you nothing for the sim card.

So when I register, I get £1 credit...do I then have to add only £4 (to make it £5) or an additional £5? Thanks.

On Orange it start with £5 Redux, but saying that there might be a way to top up just £4 by calling up direct and paying by card, setting up a D/D or something. But doubt it.
