Today is the last day for qualifying spend. If using paypal, you should link the Visa Debit card to the paypal account so that paypal can withdraw funds from your citibank currency account. And of course the citibank card should be linked to the currency account, not your GBP account should you have one (one quick phone call will do this). You can make a Paypal payment in USD or EUR.0

You qualify for the offer if withdrawing cash in the currency over the counter at a citibank branch0

That sounds odd. I use the online banking, and you can add as a payee any UK bank account. You can also pay bills etc.
@ Bougainvillea - see post 17. Michaels linked his citibank debit card to his paypal account & sent the qualifying amount to an acquaintance.
Online banking indeed let me add a non-Citibank account as a payee, but when I actually tried to transfer funds to that account, I got a message that the service wasn't available. On querying this with Citibank, they told me that I could only transfer out to another Citibank current account, which then seemed to work fine.0 -

It was before the 27th (I'd already been given the heads-up on this by Andreg's thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=18565799&postcount=1). My debit card has a valid from date 02/2009.
I paypal'd an amount on the 3/4 & was credited the cashback 14/4.0 -
I've written Citi two online messages which (despite their 'you will receive a response in 24 hours') they have so far ignored. I also sent a letter recorded delivery (which may or may have got through - the Royal Mail don't know where it is, so much for 'recorded'...) to enquire if I'd be eligible for the cashback.
Parristim - did you ever get an acknowledgement from Citibank about your qualification for this offer?
It too Citi over two months to reply to my (mutliple) secure messages and writtent letters - only to be told I was not eligible because I had no made a qualifying spend. They were thoughtfuly enough to tell me that I *had* been eligible - my application being received on the account opening deadline - but because I had not spent any money within the timescales, they would not honour the 50 Euro cashback.
As a 'gesture of goodwill' they stated that they would credit my account with £25.00 - only when I checked, they had credited it with 25 Euros! Nice to know that you can trust Citi with your money :rotfl:
They have said that I can log a complain with the FOS, but I dont really think that its worth it.
