I found that useful piece of asda info from houseofpat
    (took me ages to find!)

it is under customer services menu
    frequently asked questions
then if you go to the drop down box on right and select
    our services

want to print it off and take with me next time I go to asda - they seem to think you only get one £2 - one week I had four overcharges!

on Monday I was overcharged and went to customer services - girl duly refunded me the 85p overcharge so I asked where was my £2 gift card and she told me some rot about oh you have to leave the store and come back

so I laughed and said you must be joking so imagine I left the shop and now I am back, i also asked her how would she know whether or not I had got to my car and returned
I also pointed out that if trading standards chose to prosecute a store they would not give a monkey's if the customer had left the store, the fact they had took the money was key thing

I had been told the other week by a member of staff that she thought the overcharge policy for the £2 was that you had to go to customer services there and then or at least the same day

It could be worth buying a quantity of the product you were overcharged for (if not perishable) before bringing it to thier attention. I remember reading in the paper about a man that was charged £15 for a case of beer instead of £14.99 in a supermarket with a refund & replace policy. He got as much beer as possible & then went to the customer services desk, he got all his money back & got to keep all that lovely beer.... result
Every day above ground is a good day.

Dont know what was going on at my Asda today (Glasgow). There are Pacific flat/plasma screen tvs for £250 and Pacific surround sound speaker systems for £50 on the same shelf. 2 men had 4 of the TV sin their trollys and asked staff to bring out all they had!

I went to the shelf to take a closer look, at first glance the names and prices were correct but my guess is the barodes were transposed or something cos the staff were clearing the shelf and wouldnt let me close enough to investigate further. They were mumbling on about the £50 ticket clearly being for the speakers alone but it couldnt hae been the case? bah humbug.
  • ASDA (Longwell Green, Bristol) have huge banners advertising the fact that they now take SAINSBURYS Vouchers!!!!!!!!
It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!

Anyone used vouchers here? Either product or retailer?
    Seth.
  • I e mailed Asda Customer Services this week as they wouldn't take any Sainsburys vouchers and they confirmed " Under our voucher policy we accept coupons from other retailers, but not gift cards". So I shall try my Sainsburys vouchers again on my next shop :)

My local ASDA (Coatbridge) advertises that it takes Tesco vouchers and I tested that the 1st time today. I had a checkout printed TESCO coupon for £4 off when you spend £20. The girl at the checkout double checked with a colleague nearby and accepted it :) The suggestion from her was that there are some TESCO ones they don't accept - any idea which ones and why?

I was horrendously embarrased over a year ago when I handed some vouchers over and the woman said very loudly (in front of a huge queue) "We don't do that anymore". After joining this board I decided to ring the head office and check, it is NATIONAL policy to accept the vouchers so I'm now using all the ones I get. Although they wouldn't take my Domestos free packet of floor wipes one because it didn't have a price on it.

I do have one question though, can you use the ones that come in the Tesco magazine? There are a few good ones this month.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    F U Fund currently at £250
  • the only trouble with coupons at asda, is that they don't have a proper nationwide policy!!!
if they would just set out their guidelines for everyone, then it would be so much easier. That way we would all know what to expect and there would be no need to mess around with which stores do what
    ;)
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)

They should certainly have accepted it in exchange for an actual packet of wipes though.... I've had Kandoo, Glade, McCain, Shape etc etc taken for particular products at ASDA without ever any problems.

Take the voucher back and get your free wipes!!
