asda price match promise notices in small print at bottom has something to the effect that it has to be leaflet / flyer or advert and not from internet

Been into two Asdas with vouchers for use at tesco (eg 50p off shweppes) but both were adamant they wont take them. Emailed Asda who said they should take them but staff at store still wont accept. Ive got loads from the Save ok magazine and gutting me that I cant use them.

"What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for. "

  • will asda take index vouchers?
  • I found that useful piece of asda info from houseofpat
    (took me ages to find!)

it is under customer services menu
    frequently asked questions
then if you go to the drop down box on right and select
    our services

want to print it off and take with me next time I go to asda - they seem to think you only get one £2 - one week I had four overcharges!

on Monday I was overcharged and went to customer services - girl duly refunded me the 85p overcharge so I asked where was my £2 gift card and she told me some rot about oh you have to leave the store and come back

so I laughed and said you must be joking so imagine I left the shop and now I am back, i also asked her how would she know whether or not I had got to my car and returned
I also pointed out that if trading standards chose to prosecute a store they would not give a monkey's if the customer had left the store, the fact they had took the money was key thing

I had been told the other week by a member of staff that she thought the overcharge policy for the £2 was that you had to go to customer services there and then or at least the same day

I tried to use a 20% of fresh meat and poulty voucher that was in The Daily Mail at the Leamington Asda. They wouldn't take it as they said it didn'y have prices on just 20% off - anyone managed to use this voucher?
  • Peach .... as Leamington is my nearest asda (still 20 miles away) is it worth me collecting coupons and going. How have you found them for accepting coupons etc.

My Asda in Southgate, North London is crap. They will not except any vouchers unless you buy the product. They also do not except vouchers from other stores even if you buy the product.
I have spoke to Asda head office about my local store and they said it is upto each store what they except.

I go to leamington asda about once a month - never had any problems (touch wood!) with using newspaper/ magazine vouchers even if I've not bought the product. Tried once to use internet vouchers but they wouldn't accept them. Having read this board I did ask on my last visit if they would price match and accept other supermarket's vouchers and the nice lady on customer services said they would - hope this helps
  • does anyone on here use asda at chesser in Edinburgh? Quite near me so would be interested in the policy of that store.
if i had known then what i know now
